Sandra woke up and carried out her morning routine as usual. “Mitchell,” she called out, “have you seen my phone anywhere?” “Uhhh, it’s here on the dining table,” Mitchell replied, giggling mischievously. Sandra raised an eyebrow. “Oh, thank you. And why are you giggling? I feel like you’re up to something.” She narrowed her eyes at Mitchell, then shook her head and walked away, muttering to herself. In her room, she packed her bag, then suddenly paused—she felt the urge to call Andre because she missed him. Just as the thought crossed her mind, her phone rang. It was Andre. Her eyes widened in surprise, and a smile crept across her face. “Hi, good morning,” she said softly. “Good morning, little one. How was your night?” Andre’s voice was warm and loving, the kind that made it easy to imagine him playfully pinching her nose if he were beside her. “Fine. Yours?” “It was great. You little mischievous girl—you didn’t tell me you could sing and play the piano so beautifully,” he said with admiration. Sandra laughed, zipping her bag. “Yeah, I sing and play, but I’m not that good. How did you even find out?” “What do you mean ‘you’re not that good’? You’re literally trending on the internet!” Andre said, practically shouting with excitement. “Trending? Why? I don’t understand.” She dropped her lip balm in confusion. “What do you mean ‘why’? Didn’t you post a video of yourself singing and playing the piano last night? That’s the one trending!” “No, I didn’t post anything! I just played for Mitchell because she couldn’t sleep. And then… I couldn’t find my—” she gasped. “My phone. Oh my God. That little brat. It makes sense now. Let me check—I’ll call you back.” She ended the call without waiting for a response. Andre stared at his phone and chuckled, shaking his head fondly. Sandra turned on her data, and instantly, her phone was flooded with notifications—likes, comments, mentions, follows. Her jaw dropped. All this attention over something she played casually? “Big sister, aren’t you done? Let’s go or we’ll be late!” Mitchell called from the hallway. “Perfect timing,” Sandra muttered. “Come explain yourself, young lady.” She showed Mitchell the video on her phone with the sternest face she could manage. Mitchell gasped and turned to flee, but Sandra was faster. She grabbed her by the clothes and lifted her into the air, her little legs kicking as she burst into giggles. “Where do you think you’re going, munchkin?” “Fine, it was me! I posted the video,” Mitchell admitted, laughing. “I did it because you sing beautifully and I wanted to show my friends.” “You little—!” Sandra launched into a tickle attack. They tumbled onto the bed, their laughter echoing through the room. “Alright, let’s go now or we’ll really be late,” Sandra said, catching her breath and helping Mitchell up. She quickly repacked her hair, and they left the house together. --- Days passed, and the video continued to gather praise. Encouraged by the response, Sandra began posting more frequently. Her account slowly grew, and eventually, she started earning a small income from her content. Through it all, Andre remained her biggest supporter, cheering her on every step of the way. Life was beginning to shift—but fate had something even bigger waiting. One morning, Sandra casually opened her inbox. A new email caught her attention. It was from The Juilliard School in New York City. She tapped it open, brows furrowed—then her heart skipped. The email explained they had come across her videos online, browsed through her page, and were impressed by the rare musical talent she displayed. They wanted to offer her a full scholarship to study music at Juilliard. Sandra blinked. She closed the app, opened it again—the email was still there. She screamed. “Andreeee! I just received a scholarship!” she yelled, barely able to control the excitement in her voice. Andre’s voice came through the phone, calm and curious. “I don’t understand. Calm down and explain it properly, sweetheart.” “Okay—so Juilliard, like the Juilliard School of Music in New York, just emailed me! They saw my video and they’re offering me a scholarship to study there!” Sandra exclaimed, still breathless. “You must be kidding me. Is this one of your pranks again?” Andre asked, hopeful but cautious. “No! I swear—I’m serious this time!” “Oh my God, Sandra! You know what this means, right?” Andre said, dropping his pen at work. “Yeah, I know. This is huge.” “But wait,” he said, still stunned, “how did they even find your music?” “They saw one of the videos I posted online. They went through my page and decided to reach out.” “This is surreal,” Andre muttered. “We’ll talk more when I get back, but promise me—promise me—you’ll accept the scholarship. Like, now. Right now.” Sandra laughed, glowing. “Yes, I will!” “Okay. See you soon.” And just like that, a new chapter in their lives began to unfold.
