Chapter10 Rain

2111 Words
“Shit...” Vito in the driver's seat reacted and drew his gun from his waist, pushing the door to hop off. Behind him came the sound of the door closing. He paused and saw a tall figure come around to the front of the car. Abel did not open an umbrella. Black windbreaker was soaked in heavy rain. On his broad shoulders, there were fine mist. He walked straight to Elektra. His foggy gray eyes slightly drooped. The rain soon wound through his deep profile. The rain sounded crazy. Through the rainy curtain and headlights, they looked at each other in silence. Vito trotted over, holding an umbrella. But he was fended off by Abel. "Where is it?" The man in front of her looked calm and cold. Even the question was asked with a justifiable indifference. His words were like a punch in face. Those suppressed grievance and anger instantly became uncontrollable because of it. Under the influence of drugs Elektra felt as if she got a fever. Without thinking twice, she picked up the golf club and waved it towards Abel. He only frowned, with a muffled sound. She could see his masseter muscle sticking out in a distinct line. The club struck him on the forearm. He could have dogged. Instead he just stretched out his hand and blocked her attack. Vito was dumbfounded. He remembered that he was going to draw his gun and how he pulled it back by Abel's cold stare. "I'm not a whore." Elektra gritted her teeth. Her voice was broken and trembled in the storm. But she lifted her head unashamedly. Abel didn’t speak. He moved one step forward. “For f**k’s sake, answer me!" Elektra was furious. Another stick fast approaching. The rain was instantly torn into a cleft. With a shake in her hand, the club has been gripped by Abel. "You know I didn't mean that.” the man said in a cold voice. "You used me!" “It’s you who used me, Miss Garner!” Just as he spoke, Abel pulled her closer. "Without me, you can’t even get into Murphy's dinner. And you can't fool Murphy if you knew about it. You said you wanted revenge. I was the one who gave you this f*****g chance!” His eyes were fierce and heavy, full of aggression. "Don't come coy if you want revenge." The strength that held her arm was irresistible. Elektra was clamped and unable to move. She raised her head and looked into his eyes. It seemed like an illusion. The eyes that are always shrouded in mist revealed some ruthlessness and seriousness at this moment. It’s like he was talking to himself. After a short trance, Elektra quickly came to. She struggled to break away from Abel's clasp. But within one step, he intercepted her with one hand. “Bang!” It was because her back hit on the hard hood. Elektra felt a stir in her stomach. The next moment she was pressed on the hood by Abel. The force was so impactful that the car could not help but trembled. “Enough!" he said, with lips slightly strained. It was obviously an ultimatum - his patience was all used up. The rain was pouring now. It hit the steel plate, crackling splashing and overflowing. She was suppressed by Abel. His eyes were dim. His body was like a cold wall. Negative emotions could not be vented. They grew like wild weeds after rain. Elektra was both mentally and physically exhausted. Shortly her consciousness was beginning to wear away due to the effects of the drug. Gradually she gave up the struggling. Abel finally noticed Elektra’s anomaly: heart beating fast and shrinking pupils. These are the sure symptom of inhaling the psychotropic medicine. From the autopsy reports of undisclosed victims, there were no sign of a struggle at the time of the drowning. Abel used to speculate that Murphy might have given his victims a sedative. But only till he saw Elektra did he realized it was much worse than he had expected. “Call Bates.” Abel said as he straightened up and carried Elektra in coma to the back seat of the car. * It was a two-hour drive from Wainscot to Manhattan. The windshield wipers swung like crazy. The Rolls-Royce almost took off. Even if Vito floored the gas pedal, there was still a long way to go. He glanced nervously in the rearview mirror. Those two guys sitting in the back were both soaking wet. Abel took off his windbreaker and suit jacket, wiped his body and hair with a dry towel. He was in a semi-dry state, thanks to the enclosed space and blowing warm wind. But the half-awake woman on the other side... Vito tried to refrain himself from drooling over it just when he remembered there’s an old saying which goes: see no evil. "If you can't drive, get out and walk." The deep voice reverberated in the cabin. There was a stifling feel filled in the enclosed space again. Vito shivered, and the steering wheel nearly slipped from his hand. Before he had time to explain, the backseat barrier was heaved up by Abel. "..." Vito, who had been spurned for no reason, felt a little distressed and stepped on the gas pedal again. Because of the barrier, the closed space in the back seat was even more cramped. The pouring rain evaporated. Soon the window was covered with a layer of white fog. For once the rain and the wind became a world outside. Abel was sitting quietly, with his eyes closed, but apparently was absent-minded. The warm wind in the narrow cabin was circulating, bringing forth the smell of Elektra, which was lingering everywhere. The cinnamon-colored gown was thin and light. After the rain, it was even more tightly glued to her body, revealing the dedicate and beautiful body behind it. She seemed to be a person of great endurance. Even now when it was suffering, she only quietly curled up in the corner of the seat, turned her back to Abel, and too reserved to say a word. Outside the window, there was white fog hovering around street lamps, shrouding her bare back covered with water droplets, like pearls rolling along her spine. In her foggy mind Elektra saw neons flying in front of her eyes. They changed colors, like the rolling and passing tide, which was mixed with the desire to go up and down. No matter how strong the will was, it would be destroyed in such torment. She felt hot and creamy down there, like thousands of ants were gnawing at her nerves. Neither arrogance nor reason, nothing could compare with a thorough abreaction at the present. Disobedient hands fondled down unconsciously, until she touched that little blessed plot of Aphrodite. It was soft and wet. It felt like a clam spitting mucus out. With the movement of her fingers, the sensational numbness spread throughout the body. Numberless sparks were ignited in every pore. She simply melted away. However, the heat was quickly dissipated by something cool. Her hand was controlled by a strong force. She could not move an inch further. The feeling is like being in a rolling ship. Elektra felt that she fell into a strong but gentle embrace, with surrounding cold and hot air. Her mind went completely blank for a moment. It was hard to recall when was the last time she was held as such. Maybe it was when Marta had to leave New York for work before her graduation show, and handed her the necklace outside the piano room. Possibly it could be at Marta's funeral, when Mylan handed her the necklace she had thrown back to Marta. Memory was too confusing, like dry barks, falling off one piece after another after being torn with the blood and flesh. A fit of pain made her reach out in horror. Her fingers suddenly tightened when grabbing something cold into her palm. “I'm sorry...” She murmured unconsciously, with a slight sob. “Don’t go... I'm sorry...” Abel stunned for a while, lowering his head to look at the hand that was pulled by her. A sudden heaty feel attacked him immediately. Abel didn't pull his hand back. He just looked away to reach for a bottle of water, and bit it open. When taking psychotropic drugs for the first time, the first aid is to drink tons of water to facilitate the drugs being excreted from the body. Abel saved her skin. The woman's body was soft and thermal, because of the drug. Her skin was temptingly pinky and glowing behind the soaking gown. Abel fixed her in the back seat, and tied her with a seat belt into the posture of face-up. With the hand pinching her two cheeks, Abel poured water into her mouth. But after twice subconscious gulps, Elektra was choked to cough. Her breath became irregular. A few strands of hair clung to her lips and swirled gently as she gasped. Abel leaned over more, used his thumb to move those hairs out from her lips. Raindrops ran along the neck and collarbone from the tip of the hair, crawling all the way to her chest. The vermilion mole on the side of the neck was now suffused with flirtatious gorgeous red. Abel’s pupils were tight for a second. Memory of their martial art coaching at night flashed back in his mind. He held her in the same position back then: the button popped open to reveal the two round, white masses wrapped in the black bodice. Surprisingly Abel was fidgeting for a second. Elektra’s eyes opened at this moment, and captured his sight. There were blurred lights in her dark eyes. Delicate eyebrows frowned because of the body's unbearable reaction. Pale lips separated. Able could even see her small and white teeth between those chubby and juicy lips. The breath stirred a hair or two, which looked like a sign of flirtation. Breath stopped. Abel heard a weak moan from her throat, with a wet and trembling nasal sound. A spark of fire rose in his chest all of a sudden. Abel frowned as he wanted to let go of her. But the woman's hands fell on his chest, soft as if they were boneless. Every bit of her finger touch was numbing and itchy, like electricity rushing along the spine straight to his ear. For a split second, the woman's moist lips touched his protruding Adam's apple. Her soft chest pressed against his. The foggy gauze and his shirt were thin enough. When Elektra moved, Abel even noticed that the strawberries on her two masses had been erected. Breath became heavier. Abel has never been qualified as a sybarite. On the contrary, he hates anything that makes him lose control. Mad lust, of course, is the most contemptible of all which he has always kept himself from like snakes and scorpions. But without any reason, this woman’s “recklessness” surprisingly did not make him feel so disgusted. Instead, he even tried to look for an excuse for his quirky self subconsciously. Maybe it was because she was unintentional. An unintentional mistake was always more forgivable than an intentional one. Upon thinking of this, his expression became darker. Abel leaned over, controlled the naughty hands completely. * It was nearly midnight when they arrived in Manhattan. Bates had already given Elektra an injection. In order to ease her condition, Bates had a pool of ice water prepared. Bright neon went through the huge floor-to-ceiling windows, glistening in the water, and being smashed by the beautiful “mermaid”. The gauze mist was thin and transparent, even more unmasking after soaking. The woman's skin swayed in the smoky gown, glowing whiter than the silvery moon. Bate's face was blushing and turning red. He only dared to stare at the places where he was supposed to look at. “Taking drugs by mistake, and then threw up. It's not a big problem.” Bates paused to look at Abel's wrist, which was gripped in Elektra’s hand. “But m*******a can turn you on. It's better if we steer clear of it.” Abel was emotionless. He pulled his hand back, following Bates out of the bathroom. Vito was poking his head out of the window, not quite ready to leave. Bates came up to give him a scowl and dragged him by the collar. After doors of elevator had been closed, there were only Abel and Elektra being left in this large and empty apartment.
