It had been over a week since Aiden Connor had offered to become his slave. No coercion or anything else—all on his own will.
Everything was moving in a practical direction. All the assignments for the courses that were not his favorites were done by Aiden flawlessly and with perfect grades.
He could tell that Aiden Connor was truly living up to his word with utmost sincerity. Within a week, that human managed to memorize all of his routines on campus, even down to his favorite food preferences.
And he would be lying if he said that he did not like the efficiency that Aiden Connor brought to him. Of all the people who had been his errand boy throughout his life, Aiden was the only one who managed to do it well.
In fact, he had even offered to be his errand boy back home—something he could not possibly do, even though he was tempted to accept the offer.
Unlike Ashley, his parents were high-class werewolves, but they both belonged to the neutral type when it came to the welfare of the humans in this city.
His mother, Hannah Roderick, was a high school teacher where he went to school. And his mother was a believer in equality when it came to education; everyone deserved equal access to education, both humans and werewolves.
His father, Jonathan Roderick, was a leader of the Roderick clan who was known to be wise and chose not to interfere in the werewolf clan's affairs with humans. His father gave him the alpha position a year ago in the alpha position inauguration ceremony before finally deciding to step down.
Meanwhile, his younger brother, Lucas Roderick, had no interest in serving as alpha. Lucas was the type who had an outwardly cold personality and rarely showed any emotions on his face, so many people often misunderstood his younger brother's attitude—including his own parents. Only he could understand Lucas since his younger brother was small, thus making his younger brother depend on him so much.
In addition, his younger brother was not the ambitious type, despite the fact that he was an alpha like him. He could tell that his younger brother was the type of nerd who would rather spend his time writing novels than taking care of his clan's affairs.
"As I just explained, the theory of communication originally consisted of only one thing: one-way communication. Before eventually developing into the three theories of communication we know today..."
He turned his attention back to Professor Garfield. His eyes blinked in disbelief when he saw Professor Garfield turn his body to face the students in the class in an elegant manner.
But he could feel that something was wrong. He did not know if it was just his feeling or not, but he had the feeling that during this week, he had always caught Professor Garfield stealing the opportunity to glance at him or wink at him with that sexy and mysterious aura.
He did not know how the man did it. All he knew was that he was pleased to find that the man he liked was now trying to get his attention in a way that, he had to admit, succeeded in making him like him even more. Just from the gentle gaze of the man alone managed to make him flutter.
The look in Professor Garfield's eyes made him feel as if he were being devoured.
He could feel his cheeks blushing intensely instantly, feeling so warm that his hands reflexively touched his cheeks quickly. The man smiled upon seeing his reaction before turning his body to face the blackboard.
"Master? What's wrong?"
Aiden turned to Ashley, looking at him with an astonished look in his direction. He ignored Aiden's question, hiding his blushing face with his hands.
"Master?"
He glared at Aiden as soon as he heard Aiden's voice.
"Shut up, jerk," he snapped in hushed tones so as not to draw unwanted attention to the two of them.
Again, he focused his attention on the blackboard screen with full concentration. Of course, his attention was not on the lecture material but entirely on Professor Garfield, who was explaining his subject in his usual elegant style.
The outfit you wear today looks perfect as usual, Professor, Ashley muttered to himself with a small smile while silently observing Professor Garfield. His mind began to imagine what Professor Garfield's structure would look like under the shirt, with the sleeves up to his elbows and the shirt buttons left open to reveal his firm collarbones.
He gulped. The image of Professor Garfield in his imagination seemed so wild and sexy. It was so real, in fact, that he could barely distinguish his imagination from the real world.
"Ashley. You can touch my body…"
In his imagination, he pictured the figure of Professor Garfield walking towards him without his top on, showing his perfectly formed abs like a chocolate bar and inviting him to touch them.
Just imagining Professor Garfield's figure made him feel turned on. His imagination only managed to make his heart beat so fast that both cheeks felt red as a result of it.
"From this, we can see that everything we do and what we have observed so far in our daily lives is a real application of communication."
Ashley hurriedly pretended to take notes when his eyes met Professor Garfield's. The man was strange; he seemed to deliberately look straight at him with a gentle expression, making his cheeks, which were already warmed by his wild imagination, just now get redder as a result of it, until his hands automatically touched his cheeks quickly.
While all the students in the room were writing down the important points that Professor Garfield had just made, Ashley noticed the figure of a man in his late twenties twitching his lips as he looked at him. He tried to read the man's lips.
Your expression looks cute, Ashley.
His eyes twinkled, and he quickly looked away from Professor Garfield as he continued to try to calm the sound of his racing heart.
Am I dreaming right now? Ashley wondered in his mind.
He tried to pinch the back of his right hand to check whether he was currently in a dream or not. At that moment, he winced in pain.
It hurts, he said to himself. So it wasn't my imagination, but it was real?
