THE ASSASSINATION

Later that night Taehyung took Kyra for drive

Kyra: "So I get to use the Sniper Rifle?" she asks excitedly as she sits in the passenger side of the car

Taehyung: "Yes you get to use it" he chuckles

Kyra: "Awesome!" she exclaims and sits quietly as Taehyung drives to their destination. They arrived at building under construction, "This is where I'll be using it?" she asks confused looking at he sketchy building

Taehyung: "Yes now enough talking and grab the bag from the trunk" he says as they get out, she grabs the bag as instructed and they make their way into the empty building

Kyra: "This is creepy, why are we here? Can't we just go to the top of a hill and shoot at birds flying about?" she asks following close behind Taehyung

Taehyung: "That's animal cruelty" he says stepping into a elevator and pressing the button for the 17th floor

Kyra: "Hmmm I would have thought the elevators wouldn't work" she says leaning against the railing

Taehyung: "Its half way done, how else would they get everything where it needs to be? And didn't I say stop talking?" he says and she sends him a dead glare to the back of his head, the elevator stops at the 17th floor and they make their way into one of the empty rooms

Kyra: "Can you tell me why we're here?" she asks setting the bag down near Taehyung

Taehyung: "Get the rifle out and set it up" he says and she obeys, he then opens a window which was facing another building

Kyra: "Wait, wait, wait, what exactly are we doing here? And before you tell me to shut up, I demand answers" She says lowering the rifle resting it at her side

Taehyung: "Fine" he says and pulls her towards him and turns her facing the window, "Look at 5th window to your left" he says

Kyra: "I can't see anything" she says squinting her eyes

Taehyung: "Use the rifle Kyra" he orders shaking his head while rubbing his eyes and she follows his instructions

Kyra: "Who am I looking at?" she asks seeing 4 males at a table in suits, he takes the rifle and scans the room

Taehyung: "The fat one with the Hitler mustash" he says handing back the rifle and resting his hand on her lower back sending shivers down her spine, she clears her throat and proceeds to look at the man

Kyra: "Okay so what about him?" she asks eyes fixed on the man

Taehyung: "Kill him" he states bluntly and she quickly lowers the weapon in utter shock and stares at him

Kyra: "What?! Why?! I don't even know what he did, for all I know he could be a business man trying to provide for his family" she exclaims and her voice echoing through the room

Taehyung: "Keep your voice down" he says and suddenly footsteps are heard, "Aish! Look what you done!" he Whisper yells and grabs the bag from the floor and her by the hand and pulls her into a closet nearby closing the door

Kyra: "What the hell are -" before she can continue he cups her mouth shut with one hand and places a finger on his lips indicating she should stay quiet, a flash of light scans through the room and he pulls her closer closing the space between them with the rifle resting at her side, she holds onto his waist with the other hand. Soon the footsteps fade and she removes his hand, "I think it's safe to exit" she says and opens the door, they return to their previous spot, "So can you tell me what he did?" she quietly asks

Taehyung: "He's a s*x trafficker, he sells women and girls between the ages of 7 and 40" he says stepping towards her, "You see, that man you think is providing for his family is breaking down others" he says as he pulls the gun infront of her "So it's your choice, it's either you shoot him or I will" he says and she stands silently looking out the window towards the direction of the man then looks back at Taehyung and sighs

Kyra: "Fine, but give me the silencer before we get caught" she says and he hands it to her to which she then adds it to the rifle, she steps infront of him and aims the rifle out of the window

Taehyung: "I assume you already know what to do" he says standing behind her too close for comfort

Kyra: "Yes and could you step back, I can't concentrate with your heavy breathing" she says and he backs up, she loads a bullet into the chamber and fires sending the bullet flying through the air straight through the window and between the man's eyes, she quickly disassembles the rifle so that it fits in the bag and they quickly make their way through the building, but they hear footsteps, "s**t its the guard again! What do we do?" she whispers and Taehyung hides the bag behind a few of the cannisters in a room under construction, "What are you doing?! That's not going to -" she's cut off as he presses his lips against her and pins her to a wall, shocks she doesn't know how to react but her body quickly goes with the flow and kisses him back, a bit shocked at her actions he sinks deeper into the kiss and now it doesn't feel like they're pretending just to get out of trouble, she wraps her hands around his neck making the kiss more passionate so he pulls her closer with one hand on her hip and the other on her thigh, completely lost in their own world they're quickly snapped out of it by a voice, "Hey you two can't be here" the guard says shinning A flash at them and they break free from their kiss

Taehyung: "Sorry" he says and he fixes his jacket as Kyra fixes her dress, he then grabs her hand and they rush down the hallway

Guard: "Book A hotel next time" he yells at their retreating figures and they chuckle as they run through the doors finally outside, they stop at the car to catch their breath and start laughing at the man's reaction

Kyra: "Oh what about the bag?" she asks standing up straight

Taehyung: "We'll get it later" he says and gets in the car

Kyra: "What the f**k just happened back their?" she thinks to herself and takes a deep breath before getting in

They sit in silence and watch as the police and medics rush to the crime scene, eventually the scene is cleared

Kyra: "So about earlier" she starts off, "Wh-" she's cut off before she can finish

Taehyung: "We had to create a distraction didn't we?" he says bluntly not making eye contact, "I'll go get the bag" he says and gets out the car then disappears into the building, a few minutes later he exits holding the bag but his facial expression changes then he gets in the car rubbing his face in horror, "s**t!" he yells as he bangs the steering wheel

Kyra: "What's wrong? What did you see?" she asks curiously

Taehyung: "I should have bought Jungkook" he says furiously

Kyra: "Why? What happened?" she asks again

Taehyung: "There are security cameras everywhere in the building and there's one right next to us, which means they would pin us here at the time of the shooting" he says leaning back in his seat, Kyra gets out and checks to see where the camera is, "What are you doing? Get in" he says and she gets in

Kyra: "Do you have a laptop?" she asks

Taehyung: "No why?" he asks curiously and she sits back thinking, "What are you thinking about?" he asks as he scans her expression

Kyra: "Give me your phone" she says looking at him with a serious expression

Taehyung: "Why?" he asks curiously

Kyra: "Give it" she says but he hesitates, "Or have the whole FBI and CIA on your ass in the next 24 hours" she says and he gives it to her reluctantly and she starting typing but he can't see what she's doing, "You know how people always say that you have a computer in your back pocket when you buy a new phone or ungrade to the latest model?" she asks with her eyes glued to the screen

Taehyung: "Yeah?" he says confused and she turns the phone towards him showing him the footage of them entering the building including the footage on the camera inside the building, "How did you -" she cuts him off before he could finish

Kyra: "College, hanged out with nerds and picked up a few tricks" she said as she takes the phone and starts erasing the evidence and then creating a loop showing that the building was vacant

Taehyung: "So our problems solved" he says

Kyra: "Not actually" she says and he looks at her curiously, "The guard, he saw our faces and he'll eventually identify us and before you know it, the cops are up our asses and we're looking at serious jail time" she says

Taehyung: "Who says the guard would be a problem?" he says

Kyra: "But he saw our faces" she says

Taehyung: "I took care of him when I went back for the bag" he says and starts the car, she doesn't respond and looks out the window instead

Moments later they arrived at home and joined the rest in the office

Namjoon: "How did it go?" he asks sitting at the desk while the rest were resting on the couch with a glass of wine

Taehyung: "She did good" he says taking a seat next to Hoseok

Jin: "Any hiccups?" he asks, Taehyung and Kyra shares a look

Taehyung: "N-" he starts off but is cut off by Kyra

Kyra: "Yes, but it's nothing we couldn't handle" she says as grabs a glass and pours her some whiskey then downs It in one go

Hoseok: "You don't seem satisfied with your progress" he says staring at her

Kyra: "It's not the progress that's bothering me" she says staring at her glass

Jimin: "Then what is?" he asks tilting his head sideways, she scans the room then looks back at the floor

Kyra: "Nothing" she sighs and puts her glass down, "I'm going to my room" she says and glances at Taehyung before turning to leave

Yoongi: "Want us to call you for dinner?" he asks

Kyra: "I'm not hungry" she replied not turning around and exists closing the door behind her

Yoongi: "What exactly happened with you two?" he asks looking at Taehyung curiously

Taehyung: "Like she said, it's nothing we couldn't handle" he answers but in the back of his mind he knows what's bothering her

Kyra sits at her window staring into the distance when she heard a knock at her door

Kyra: "Come in" she says and Jungkook enters and closes the door behind him, she shoots him a smile

Jungkook: "You okay?" he says as he takes as seat next to her so that they're facing each other

Kyra: "Yeah, just thinking" she says as she leans her head against the glass

Jungkook: "About what?" he looks at her curiously

Kyra: "Everything" she sighs

Jungkook: "Wanna talk about it?" he asks politely, she looks at him for a few seconds then lifts her head from the glass

Kyra: "I'm just thinking that this is what my life is from now onward, and how worried my dad might be because he hasn't heard from me in 2 days" she says

Jungkook: "I'll talk to the guys and see if they'll let you call your dad" he smiles but she doesn't return it, instead she looks out the window

Kyra: "I doubt they'll let me call him, I've done as they asked but I guess it's not good enough, it was never good enough" she sighs but this time she's not talking about the guys

Jungkook: "I know they come off as hard sometimes but they mean well I promise" he says placing his hand on hers gently stroking it and she gives him a warm smile which he returns just then Taehyung enters breaking their bonding session

Taehyung: "Jungkook, the others are looking for you" he says and Jungkook nods

Jungkook: "If you need anything you know where to find me" he smiles

Kyra: "Thanks" she says and he walks out the room leaving her and Taehyung alone, she turns back and stares out the window

Taehyung: "What's bothering you?" he asks standing at the door, but she doesn't answer so he walks over to her and stands infront of her, "Is it because of the kiss?" he asks looking down at her still staring out of the window but she doesn't answer, he then sits down but she quickly stands up

Kyra: "It was just a distraction remember" she says and make her way out the room leaving Taehyung alone

Taehyung: "I f****d up badly" he sighs and leaves the room

Kyra: "I'll be outside if anyone needs me" she tells the guys and she passes them on her way out

Yoongi: "What did you do?" he asks Taehyung as he enters but he just shrugs

Outside Kyra did some warm up exercises and some target practice before heading back in and hoping the shower. She sits underneath the hot shower with water running down her face and body thinking about everything that happened within the span of 2 days, she sighs and turns off the shower then gets out and dried herself wrapping herself in a towel before drying her hair with another towel as she made her way out of the bathroom and saw Yoongi sitting on her bed

Kyra: "Can I help you?"she asks still drying her hair

Yoongi: "Jungkook said you missed your dad, so the guys and I agreed you could call him" he said and she throws the towel on the floor looking at him confused

Kyra: "There has to be a catch" she says approaching the end of the bed

Yoongi: "No catch, you proved yourself enough" he says and hands her back her phone before leaving

She sit on the bed and takes a few deep breaths before dialing her dads number and hearing it ring, "Hello, Kyra baby, where have you been? I've been worried sick"

Kyra: "Hi dad, I'm okay, I'm just staying with a few friends for a while" she replies

Dad: "When are you coming home?" he asks

Kyra: "I don't know, I'll stay a bit longer, I just need to clear my head" she sighs

Dad: "Take as long as you need, have you thought about what I said?" he asks

Kyra: "That's the exact reason why I need to clear my head, just give me time to think about it" she says

Dad: "I hope you'll accept my offer" he says

Kyra: "I'll think about it, I gotta go dad, I'll call you soon" she says and ends the call

Namjoon: "So now we know we can trust her" he says to the guys while standing next to Jungkook as a 'call ended' caption flashes on the computer screen.
