Gerald took a deep breath as he watched Mr. Gregory’s car drive away from one of the six-foot windows in his office. He had his arms placed behind him, a dead cigarette hanging from his mouth. He had been standing there for about thirty minutes, watching everyone leave the firm until he was sure it was just him and Natasha left. The executives were going to return in about two hours. Everything for the party was ready, except Gerald’s mind that kept on fluctuating with a storm of uncomfortable thoughts. He hadn’t heard her walk in. She had taken off her heels to make sure of that. He felt her arms curl around his body like a snake and she rested her face against his back. Gerald didn’t move or say a word, he wished he could get rid of Natasha the same way Sandra Wilbur had left the world,
