I wasn’t the only one of the competitors to blanche at the news of this years theme of events. As the faeries rejoiced around us, some humans celebrating with them in complete ignorance of what the Wild Hunt meant I let the news resonate with me. I needed to seek out Lord Elias and fast, if I was to have any hope in surviving this he would be it. Scanning the crowds I searched for him, the numerous goblin masks tricking me each time I’d thought I’d found him. The King watched on, delighting in his triumph, his blue flame eyes narrowed in on me through the sea of creatures dancing and cavorting for his majesties pleasure. His gaze was like a spotlight beaming down on me, cornering me in amongst the rabble, singling me out so his message was conveyed. I was scared and he wanted me to be. H
