Third Person POV
James went straight to Houston. He needed to figure out what's going on with his life right now. His mind and heart were filled with extreme pain when he saw Samantha's eyes while watching Scarlett announce that she was pregnant with his child. He wanted so badly to run after her, but her parents' enraged and disappointed expressions made his body stand there motionless.
Upon entering the manor, he was welcomed by his father's angry gaze.
"Where's mom?" he did not hide the annoyance in my tone.
"Don't you dare use that tone to me. Your mother just did what she had to do," he retorted coldly. His face hardened even more in obvious anger.
"Fine. I came home to finally do what I had to do, too," he answered with a heavy heart. His father's brows creased in confusion.
