Clay starts by taking me to Gerard's' place and at the same time introducing me to him officially.
Like at Tom's place there are guards controlling everyone entering the area. Gerard's' headquarters reminds me of a training camp for soldiers. There are no women to be seen, only men and older boys, all wearing the usual pants and dark T-shirts. Some of them greet Clay, others ignore him.
I feel like every pair of eyes is following me from I entered the gate and until we enter the biggest building in the middle. From the little pieces of talk I catch, I hear the name Amber mentioned several times.
"Ignore them". Clay mumbles, when a pair of younger guys yell something after us I didn't quite catch.
