The words were like gasoline thrown onto a fire. All the fury Erik had been suppressing exploded instantly. He whipped around and glared at Chloe with bloodshot eyes.
"This is all your fault!" Then he shoved her violently hard enough to send her stumbling backward. "If you hadn't kept clinging to me, if you hadn't insisted on pretending to be my wife and coming to Eurona, Lydia never would've found out!"
His voice grew louder and more hysterical with every word. "I could've had everything. The company. Lynch Holdings' support. My entire future." His expression twisted with rage. "You destroyed all of it!"
Chloe crashed onto the floor, her designer handbag tumbling beside her as its contents scattered everywhere. Shock and fury exploded across her face instantly.
