“Officer Warren”
I looked at Vincent and raised an eyebrow. He scratched the back of his head, and he looked troubled.
“What? ”I said, sounding annoyed. “We found two more bodies and footprints, leading towards the forest, which is closed for locals,” he explained.
“f**k this," I whispered. “Let's go," I said as I walked away.
I grabbed my keys from my pockets when Vincent stopped me. “Officer, the crime scene is only a two-minute walk,” he smiled.
“Stop smiling”
“And officer,” he called again, “What?”I said I'm losing my patience, “Your zipper is open,” and he started laughing.
Heck
We reached the crime scene, and I saw two bodies. While waiting for the paramedics, one of them is still breathing.
“Perform CPR! ”I ordered and looked at Davan, who looked at me confused. “Go! ”I said, and he leaned down and performed CPR.
"Saved,” he said after performing CPR for more than 5 minutes. I sighed in relief. “Thank God," I muttered. The paramedics arrived, and all they could do was confirm the deaths of the other victim and rush the other one to the hospital.
Vincent handed me a file containing the victims information.
“Barren Davilson," I read. He's the one Davan saved.
I was planning on going back to the station when Detective Casanova called me. She saved my number.
“What does this brat want?" I rolled my eyes and answered the phone while Davan was laughing with Vincent.
“I found something. I need the whole team available.,” she said with panic in her voice. I looked at Vincent and Davan, and their faces turned serious. They heard what Cassie said.
“We’re on our way," I answered and ended the call.
