CHAPTER 10 Conal “Get ready,” Conal yelled, his voice rising above the tumult in front of the city. Raging fire consumed catapults and battering rams while soldiers staggered and fell, flames engulfing their bodies. A few archers launched feeble attempts to bring down a dragon, but mostly dodged the spewing flames. Conal turned an excited eye to Bedo who stood next to him, a ram’s horn in his hand. “Now, Bedo.” Bedo raised the horn to his lips and blew three loud blasts.
