Kate's POV
“Kate,” Chris called for the umpteenth time, but I ignored him. If he was not gonna tell me the truth, then I see no reason why I should answer him.
I have this feeling in my gut that there is more to what he said. Elder Torrance will never bow to Professor Gerald. Nor will he bow to Mrs Kaitlyn or Mr Brown. Why would he do so for Professor Chris?
“You are right, Kate, there is more to it,” Zoey said and I nodded. I have to find out what it is about.
“Please, Kate. Let's talk–”
Having enough of his s**t, I turned around and faced him, with a glare on my face.
“What do you want to talk about, Professor Chris?” I asked. I pretended not to see the way his eyes narrowed as I called him Professor Chris instead of just Chris.
