Kate's POV
I walked into Principal Gerald's office. As usual, his eyes were constricted into a frown. He never disappoints with his harsh looks.
“You sent for me, sir,” I said, in an attempt to get his attention.
“Yes, Kate. Thank you for coming,” He said, his voice firm. “I've been looking for Professor Chris, but he is nowhere to be found. I've even tried calling his phone, but he's not picking up. Have you seen him or heard from him?”
A look of confusion appeared on my face as I heard his words. Professor Chris was not in school yet? Why? This was the first time.
I shook my head, feeling a pang of worry. “No, sir. I haven't seen him. Is there a problem?” I asked. I could feel the fear gradually simmering within me.
