Chris's POV
I was about to call Kate's phone, but almost immediately, Zade's call came in. I wanted to end the call, but I stopped myself. Taking a deep breath, I answered it.
“What do you want, Zade?” I asked him through gritted teeth.
“Relax, Chris,” he hissed and I rolled my eyes.
“Why did you call me?” I said through gritted teeth. I wasn't in the mood for any chit-chat. As long as I had passed my message to him, I was done with the conversation.
“You need to rephrase your words, Chris because I'm so confused about it. What did you mean by I can't marry Kate Harden? Who is she?”
I creased my brows in confusion. “Cut the pretense, Zade. Aren't you planning to get married to her?”
“Who are you even talking about?” He asked again. He sounded so confused a
