Gerald's POV
“I'll come there right away,” Grandma Quinn said before ending the call. A sigh escaped my lips. Somehow I was relieved that she would come here. At least I wouldn't have to be alone in this.
At a time like this, I needed someone to sympathize with me. Bearing the burden alone was not a good idea in any way.
I might lose my senses. I pushed away from the wall and walked towards the vacant chair to sit down.
“Hello, Mr Gerald,” The slim nurse from earlier called out as she got to where I was and I raised my head from my palms to stare at her.
“Yes, how can I help you?”
