Kate's POV
I was about to walk out of the school when I saw a girl walking in my direction, her face beaming with smiles. I creased my brows in confusion because I couldn't remember the last time someone smiled at me. Maybe she wasn't smiling at me. I thought as I turned around to see if there was someone behind me, but there wasn't.
She got closer to where I was. “Hi, Kate?”
Wait! Does she know my name? I asked no one in particular.
“Hi?” I waved back even though I had no idea who she was.
“My name is Joanna. Nice to meet you, Kate,” She smiled again.
“Same here,” My voice was neutral. I hope she can tell that I don't even know who she is. I haven't even seen her.
“From the look on your face, I can tell that you have no idea who I am, right?”
Nodding my head, I answered.
