Cinta sat quietly in Emmanuel's office, still holding her torn sketchbook. The room was elegant, with framed fashion photographs decorating the walls. She felt out of place, but Emmanuel's calm presence made her feel safe.
He placed a cup of tea in front of her.
"Relax," he said with a gentle smile. "No one is judging you here."
Cinta smiled faintly.
"I've never been inside a place like this before."
Emmanuel leaned back in his chair.
"I've seen hundreds of fashion designs over the years, but yours are different. They tell a story."
Cinta looked down, embarrassed.
"I never thought anyone would notice."
"They deserve to be noticed."
He opened a drawer and brought out a folder.
"My mother's birthday gala is in ten days. I want you to design her outfit. You'll have a budget, access to the finest fabrics, and a professional workspace."
Cinta's eyes widened.
"You... you really trust me?"
"I wouldn't have asked if I didn't."
Just then, his assistant, Daniel, entered the office.
"Sir, the board members are waiting for you."
Emmanuel nodded before turning to Cinta.
"Daniel will show you the design studio."
As they walked through the building, Cinta couldn't believe her eyes. The studio was filled with sewing machines, luxurious fabrics, sparkling beads, and skilled tailors.
"It feels like heaven," she whispered.
Daniel smiled.
"Mr. Emmanuel rarely trusts anyone with personal projects. You should be proud."
Cinta gently ran her fingers over a roll of deep emerald silk. Inspiration began to flow through her mind.
She picked up a pencil and started sketching.
Hours passed without her noticing.
When Emmanuel returned, he found her completely absorbed in her work.
He quietly stood behind her, watching the elegant lines appear on the paper.
The gown was breathtaking—classic, graceful, and filled with intricate details.
A smile spread across his face.
"My mother is going to love it."
Before Cinta could respond, Daniel rushed into the studio, looking worried.
"Sir..."
"What is it?" Emmanuel asked.
"A famous designer, Vanessa Laurent, just heard you've hired an unknown girl for the birthday gala."
Emmanuel frowned.
"And?"
Daniel hesitated.
"She's furious... and she's on her way here."
The room fell silent.
Cinta's heart began to race.
She had no idea that accepting Emmanuel's offer had just made her the target of one of the most powerful fashion designers in the industry.
