Navita POV

2 years!

I walk into the diner today. "Kimmie can you believe it 2 years since I showed and you fed me. Like a stray I never left either hahaha" I giggle. " Oh child I would have it no other way" Kimmie says grandmotherly. Even though Kimmie looks no older than 30 she is actually close to 500. Shortly after I came crashing down from my fiasco. I have not heard from Tommy since that day good riddance. I also found out that fate guided me or maybe Kara since she keeps claiming led me to a inhuman town that is located deep in the forest of Washington state. Kara hurumphs in my head "Of course I led you". For the last year I have been working for Kimmi's friend James. He is a Demon,no no stop they are good people just don't get on their bad side. He has an ad agency. He found out I modeled and that I knew marketing through Kimmi, so he offered.I of course accepted and the last year has been fabulous.

I have met tons of guys too hahahaha. Well werewolves, one of the largest packs in the US is located about 45 miles to the east. They come to town to trade and buy things. So the past year between my newly found friends and mama Kimmi I have been learning about my werewolf and training.

Speaking of like a conjuring Stacy, Maddie and Chelsea come squealing in the diner parking lot in Chelsea's brand new black matte Lotus Evija. They came to the diner about a month after I found the town and we hit it off. Chelsea is Alpha Roman's youngest daughter, Stacy is Beta Blake's only daughter and hoping to get with soon to be Alpha, Blayne's Luna. He hasn't found his mate yet and Stacy turns 18 soon so a huge day for her! Maddie is the alphas oldest daughter, my age and mated to Gamma in training Elijah, both of them kick ass. Literally. As gamma you are the head of defense, strongest wolf next to the Alpha and Beta, and the lead trainer and the gamma female is the same to the Luna. They adopted me into their group day one. However the Alpha is not doing any alpha duties until his son gets back from training so I haven't been accepted into the pack even though the girls claim it will be know problem because of the training I do with them.

Every Monday we do leg day and they have helped me shift. Wednesday we do cardio and arms and Friday we run miles and miles and each week we add a new mile......so now we are at 30 miles. I can't believe how much I have improved in strength but also confidence.

Today happens to be Friday and so much is happening. Bryan invited me to the Alpha ceremony as his date this evening. He is one of the Navy Seals of this packs warriors. He met his mate shortly after they turned 18, enjoyed life and have a gorgeous daughter Audrey that I have grown to love. Audrey was breech and by the time they got to the hospital they couldn't save his mate. It almost killed him but he had a baby that needed support and love so he made himself into what he is.

Second the Alpha in training is coming home today, to take over as alpha.

Third my acceptance "interview " is today. Ahhhhhh I'm so nervous I say to Kara who has been pacing in my head since I woke up. "I know me too" Kara bounces back.

At this point the girls come screaming in the diner shaking the walls with their enthusiasm.

Chelsea screams :"Ah Navi are you excited? I can't wait for you to be part of the pack. You are like our sister already" Hoping up and down shaking me. "OK I'm freaking out and Kara is pacing let's go run I need to lose some of this nervous energy" I say as Kimmi walks in.

"You girls be safe and have fun so you later doll...at your interview." Kimmi has been my sponsor aka the person that will take the fall if I do something stupid or harming to other, which I would never so she presents me to the alpha.

"Bye Mama Kimmi" I will see you this evening when I am getting ready.

Already dressed to run we leave the car at the diner amd run to the south. Directly south we hit our trail and get in line Maddie of course up front, myself then Chelsea and Stacy. We started running in pace order months ago so Noone would be paced or get lost ,mainly me hahaha.

We had been running for about an hour when I smelled something the other girls didn't so I yelled stop. They were grumbling because we just got stride. I started walking almost 3 miles before the girls picked up the scent and went on the defense. Another mile farther we walked up onto a gruesome scene of death. It looks like dead animals but there is clear distinction of clothing. We're they shifters, who did this? Stacy cried and walked away. Maddie mindlinked her mate and Chelsea mindlinked the Alpha. Bryan showed up first searching for me and removing me from the scene. He is so sweet trying to save me from the smell and sight. As he hugs me to him we run back to the diner. We talk about the day and I tell him I'm nervous excited about the day and that Kara has been pacing most of the day. He said probably because it's a big event being accepted into a new pack without a fated mate but that he and Audrey would see me there for support. Oh my gosh did I mention he is so sweet to me. He is such a great guy! We hang out on the porch of my cabin talking about life and the forest when his eyes glaze. He sits stiffly next to me for a solid 5 mins. When he is done I can tell that such a long mindlink hurt his head. He said the alpha showed up and wants to figure out what happened amd that the girls told my side of the story so he would see me during the interview. Bryan says he is requested back on pack land to help so is leaving me to my own devices till the girls come get ready. He hops in Chelsea's car amd drives back to the pack. When he got there he texted saying the alpha in training was very agitated and trying to focus but Noone could help him. But that he wanted to find all the people involved.

Hours went by and I thought about what I would wear, what I would look like. I wanted to impress the alpha but I also wanted impressed Bryan I wanted him to be happy and proud that he chose me as his chosen meet . I was so nervous couldn't decide What I should wear?

Kimmi's POV

I walk into Navi's cabin with a gown about 2 hours before we are due to go onto pack lands. I could sense this girls agitation for the last 2 hours and I knew it was because of the attire. Her beautiful olive skin and naturally blonde hair with green eyes meant she could pull off almost any color. The dress attire for the ball tonight was formal so I went ahead and got her the perfect dress.

When I walked in her room Navi was pacing in her strapless bra and thong trying to pick between 5 dresses strewn throughout the room. "Oh child your are stressing to much what is wrong?" without even looking up she huffs saying she can't decide and Kara is no helping pacing and giving her a headache. "Oh and what for?" I ask calmly trying to redirect her mind. She huffy again claiming Kara doesn't know. That's odd for Kara, that wolf is brilliant and quick. "Well here dear try this one so I can see you in it first. Her eyes light up as she finally sees the pearl white dress in my hand. She squeals kisses my cheek and runs to the bathroom to slip it on. By the time she steps out the girls have shown up, set up make and hair stations and I walk down stairs. Mainly so I don't get a headache from all their squealing.

Bryan's POV

I had a unsettled feeling all day but when Maggie mindlink Rhett and I about the scene in woods I forgot it. She said Navi and her and the girls were running and found it. Later after I took Navi back to the cabin she said that she smelt it miles before, I raise an eyebrow but I always knew she was special just couldn't pinpoint why. I can't say I love her like Marni because she knows that she was my mate. But I feel a closeness with Navi that I have not had in a long time. Three weeks ago I asked her to be my chosen with the exception of the interview today. I could feel her nervousness but she waved it off. I left shortly after being summoned by Blayne. He is being narcissistic and screaming through the mindlink. He said something was off with the scene but couldn't pin point. I snort as I drive Chelsea's lotus home I'll say there was something more than just off. I pull into the pack house parking lot. It's a gorgeous 8 store mansion that houses an underground bunker below. On the first level is 4 kitchens, a huge dining room to fit 1000, 3 sitting rooms with tables and the ballroom. Where we will introduce Navi to the pack tonight, I smile a little Audrey loves her also but I feel more like a sister than a stepmother. On the 2nd level is 6 large games rooms of varying interests and two theaters. On the 3rd level is the general suites for anyone who works within the pack house they can choose to have free room. 4th level is warriors and their mates. 5th level has two huge spread out suites for the alpha and Luna stepping down if they wish to stay as well as 10 formal suites for visiting alphas or elders. The 6th floor has 10 suites total they are for the Beta amd beta female, Gamma and gamma female and special guests that either need to be closer to the alpha and Luna or beta and gamma. The 7th floor is security, training command, beta office shared by beta and his mate, and two large separate offices for the active Alpha and Luna, a large 500+ person conference room and a historical library. The 8th floor in its entirety is for the active Alpha and Luna with a small office, spare rooms, theater, micropool, space galore, a small library, and dining room.

When Navi passes her interview she will join me in my suite on 4th but also have access to me on the 7th floor.

I get out of the car right as Chelsea screams for me to hand over her keys saying they are all getting ready at Navi's. I head up to the 7th floor and settle in for a long 2 hours. I'm not prepared for what I see Blayne is out of control yelling and directing but confused at the same time. I see his wolf, Lucas, trying hard to break to the surface. So in the very mediating way I handle everything I say "OK feel me in."

Lucas POV

I'm struggling to break free as soon as Bryan walks in. We have been best friends since before we can remember so just seeing him calms me. I slowly let Blayne have control back when the smell hits me again. And I can't figure out what it is. It's to faint but stirring a need in me to protect. At first at the scene I assumed it was the deads aura. But now I'm not sure.

Dad walks in and says stop in his alpha tone and Blayne raises an eyebrow but nods.

"You can't answer this now we have several things already planned to do tonight. Go get ready all of you. The girls will be making their debut prior to the ball.
