Olivia's eyes fluttered open, and she was met with the unfamiliar sight of the pack house's infirmary. She was lying on a soft, white bed, surrounded by the sterile smell of medicine and the gentle hum of machines.
As she sat up, Olivia felt a wave of dizziness wash over her. She stumbled, her vision blurring. And then, she saw Christopher's face, his eyes filled with concern.
"Hey, take it easy," he said, his voice soft. "You've been through a lot."
Olivia's eyes narrowed, her mind racing with memories. She remembered being poisoned, remembered Christopher's face as he caught her.
But most of all, she remembered the tingles she felt when Christopher touched her. Accidentally, of course. But still, the sensation had been unmistakable.
Olivia knew what it meant. She had felt it before, with Nathaniel. But this time, it was different. This time, she was scared.
Scared of getting hurt again, scared of trusting someone she barely knew.
As Christopher helped her out of bed, Olivia felt a surge of fear. She didn't want to be around him, didn't want to feel those tingles again.
But she had no choice. She was stuck in the pack house, stuck with Christopher and the rest of the pack.
As the days passed, Olivia recovered slowly. She was weak and scared, but she was determined to get better.
Christopher was always there, hovering in the background, watching her with an intensity that made her skin crawl.
Olivia knew she had to be careful. She couldn't trust Christopher, not yet. She didn't know him, didn't know his motives.
But as she looked into his eyes, Olivia felt a spark of hope. Maybe, just maybe, she could trust him.
Maybe he could help her heal, help her overcome her fears.
But for now, Olivia was stuck in limbo, unsure of what to do, unsure of who to trust.
As she lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, Olivia felt a sense of unease. She was trapped, trapped in a world of uncertainty and fear.
And she didn't know how to escape.
Days turned into weeks, and Olivia slowly began to regain her strength. She was still scared, still unsure of what to do.
But she knew she couldn't stay hidden forever. She had to face her fears, had to confront the demons that haunted her.
And so, Olivia made a decision. She would start to explore the pack house, start to meet the other members of the pack.
Maybe, just maybe, she would find a way to heal, to overcome her fears.
As Olivia stepped out of the infirmary, she was met with the bright sunlight streaming through the windows. She blinked, her eyes adjusting slowly.
And then, she saw him. Christopher was standing in the hallway, his eyes fixed on hers.
Olivia felt a surge of fear, but she stood her ground. She knew she had to be brave, had to face her fears.
"Hi," Christopher said, his voice soft. "How are you feeling?"
Olivia hesitated, unsure of what to say. But as she looked into Christopher's eyes, she felt a spark of hope.
Maybe, just maybe, she could trust him.
"I'm okay," Olivia said finally, her voice barely above a whisper.
Christopher nodded, his eyes never leaving hers. "I'm glad to hear that," he said, his eyes never leaving hers. And then, he reached out and touched her hand.
Olivia felt a jolt of electricity run through her body, and she knew that she was in trouble. Big trouble.
"So, what do you say we get some fresh air?" Christopher asked, his voice low and husky.
Olivia hesitated, unsure of what to do. But as she looked into Christopher's eyes, she felt a spark of excitement.
"Okay," she said finally, her voice barely above a whisper.
Christopher smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Great," he said. "I'll show you around the pack house."
As they walked, Olivia couldn't help but notice the way Christopher's hand felt on hers. It was warm and gentle, and it sent shivers down her spine.
"So, what do you think of the pack house?" Christopher asked, his voice breaking into her thoughts.
Olivia hesitated, unsure of what to say. But as she looked around at the beautiful architecture, she felt a sense of wonder.
"It's amazing," she said finally. "I've never seen anything like it."
Christopher smiled, his eyes sparkling with pride. "Yeah, we've worked hard to build a beautiful home," he said.
As they walked, Olivia felt a sense of excitement building inside her. She was starting to feel more comfortable around Christopher, more at ease.
