After leaving Rick puzzled, Lexi went to her room and treated the bump on her face, brushing her teeth to clean the blood from her busted lip. She spit repeatedly into the sink and then left the house. That morning, she wouldn’t go to class; she’d pay her sister a visit instead.
She wasn’t sure if Rick was infertile, but she had added a little drama to the situation just to scare him. The slap had hurt her a lot; it was the first time someone had hit her. Yes, she intended to give Rick a hard time for what he did, but she still didn’t know how. Wasn’t the best way to leave him? Then he would lose half of his money at the end of the year.
