"You old worry wart. I told you nobody would be here this late," a woman's voice said. Jen couldn't be sure, but it sounded like Kirk's friend, Bobbie Jean.
"Yeah, yeah you were right," a male voice agreed.
Jen shifted her sight line from her position hiding in the supply closet and confirmed the voices belonged to Senator Kirk Norwood and Bobbie Jean Diaz. She knew she still had time to make her presence known by walking out of the closet with an armful of supplies. However, there was something naughty about eavesdropping on their conversation that appealed to her.
"That was a great dinner," Bobbie said to Kirk. "I can't believe you found a restaurant back east here that knows how to cook a big piece of beef properly."
