Chapter 9 the Baptism

When the babies were 2 months old, they were baptized. They had to get their babies in their white gowns. But their twins did not like wearing things. So Luke was trying to get Lana’s gown on. Erin was having a really hard time getting Joseph’s gown on. Joseph hated having to wear things. So Luke and Erin changed babies. Erin had Lana and Luke had Joseph. And it was much easier. Mother and daughter and father and son. Both the parents of the new arrivals walked up to the priest and the ceremony began. First there was Erin and Lana. Lana was the bravest girl you would ever meet. She never said a word when her head dipped in the holy water. She just smiled right at her mother and giggled a storm. Next was a very shy child, Joseph. Luke took him up and he just cried when his head was dipped into the holy water, and when Luke took Joseph back, he turned into Luke's chest and cried. And both parents turned around and showed the people the new arrivals and they cheered when they smiled and started giggling. Luke and Erin walked down and turned to people in the aisles and smiled and said thank you to everyone.
