I was so delighted that my heart was doing somersaults in my chest. But I was also overwhelmed knowing that she was now ready for me.
“Baby! Are you serious?” I whispered bending over her face while I carried her to the bedroom.
She wrapped her arms around my neck and said shyly, “Yes. I am. It is already over and I wanted to surprise you and apologise, so I came back. But then I saw Cassie…. and then you said you have already made plans….” She looked away pouting.
