CHAPTER 8

As he sat in the reins in his ship, Cassius glanced above the cold but bright sky. He looked down from below seeing nothing but the humans wandering around and the towering buildings. A blue panel had appeared beneath him, a message from Droid. The minute he opened the envelope icon, he read it with a spellbound expression. He's not sure if he'll believe him or not, so he shut the screen off and continued on his way. Garrett joined the residents in crossing the road, and everyone he passed by gave him an odd look from head to foot. He didn't seem to care and kept his eyes ahead, till he suddenly felt something from his senses. He came to a complete stop, closing his eyes and grasping his weapon. He breathed and exhaled while concentrating on making the blurry image clearer. The man could hear the numerous voices as the image progressively formed, but he couldn't see the final result. He gradually focused on the voices until the image could be created, a school had appeared along with the energy. He was on the edge of collapsing when he opened his eyes and had gasped for air. A vehicle honked at the man, and he yelled saying, "Hey! Are you going to stand there forever or what?!", Garrett gave the man a sidelong glance while leveling his g*n at the truck. He pulled the trigger and a beam shot out, shattering the parts, as the citizens fled and panicked. "Where was I?..." He moved the other way to follow what this image intended to say, as two buildings with a large bell on top had caught his eye. A subtle bend grew at the end of his lips, he resumed on his path. Zire with his palms buried in his pockets, observing through the window ahead of him, taking long breaths. He couldn't get the thought out of his head that something horrible will going to happen to his younger brother. "You probably want to sit down, you've been standing there for about an hour now." Cydney interrupted. "Where is this school?" The man inquired, "Oh uh... a few blocks away, why?" she questioned. He took a pause before responding, "...Nothing", Cydney then nodded her head in response, as the captain walked out of the room while heading down their basement. ~ Their coach had blown the whistle and yelled. "Okay, chaps! It's time for a break!", The team then stopped playing, they took themselves out the field panting, while the four headed into the cafeteria. They took their lunches off the counter and looked for a place to sit. "Aren't you gonna eat that?" Jayz murmured, directing his eyes on Cydee. "What? Oh, no besides I'm not that hungry anyways" the boy responded. "What? Why? You need to eat atleast! Cuz we have the rest of the day to train! You know that!" Cope had scolded in a pleasant way. "See? Even Cope is worried, and he's right, and you might pass out later when we're running, just like you did a few months ago." Gal had followed while shoving some mashed potatoes into his mouth. "Look, I appreciate all of your concerns, but there's really nothing to be serious about," Cydee had remarked softly, giving them a small smile. Garrett halted again as his senses generated a different image when he entered the campus, and observed a few students hanging around. There are several tables occupied by kids who are having a wonderful time. As he reached them, he sighed deeply and inquired about the cafeteria. The junior had fixed his gaze on the meal underneath him, looking at it, knowing that the longer he stared at it, the faster he'll throw up. "Seriously? You're not going to eat anything?" Jayz had questioned. The canteen doors had slammed open, drawing the attention of the youngsters, and everything went quiet. The pupils kept their sight on the man standing at the entryway, who was peering around. Cydee's eyes widened as he raised his head up to Garrett, and he hopped away as quickly as he could, but the man had prevented him and had said, "Cydee! That's what they call you right? You're just going to miss the party if you leave now!" as his voice resounded through the chamber. The boy was terrified as he remained frozen in place, and he could feel his classmates' and the other students' eyes on him. Garrett stepped towards him, while clenching through his handgun as the junior began turning around to confront him. "You know why I'm here..." he said in petrifying tone, Cydee who's unable to speak because of his fear, as Garrett stared at him with a daring gaze. The captain then snatched one of the kids by the back of the neck, pointing the g*n against the side of his head. "I'll blow his head off decorating the wall, the floor with his brains and blood. Unless you give it to me, I assure you, no one will be harmed." Garrett stated as he glared at the junior. "Please... let him go.." the boy begged, with his voice shuddering, Garrett moved his index finger closer to the trigger, which created a click sound, scaring everyone. "...Could you please let him go first?..." Cydee pleaded once more, as his heart had skipped a beat. The man had raised his eyebrows. The boy had no other choice but to remove his jacket, which he did forcefully off his shoulders throwing it on the floor, revealing the crate injected into the child's left forearm. "Well?" Garrett questioned. Cydee paused and looked onto his forearm, before responding, "I... I don't know how to get rid of it..", The captain sighed and because his patience had run out, he pressed his index finger on the trigger. Everyone shouted as the victim covered his head. Garrett's hand, which was holding the firearm when he was meant to pull the trigger, was shot instead, and the weapon dropped on the ground. "You said you were having a party. Why didn't you invited me?", While heading towards them with his sidearm in his hands, Zire stated. Garrett pushed the kid back to the students with a sneer on his face. "Castelo! My apologies if I didn't extend an invitation to you, and besides, we were just getting started" the man had said while pointing the g*n on the captain's younger brother. "Lay a single finger on him and I'll destroy that pretty little face of yours" Zire had warned, while directing his g*n at his nemesis. "Why would you want to spare him anyway?! What-what is he to you? Your boyfriend or something?!" Garrett yelled exasperatedly. "First and foremost, I have no romantic interest in anyone or anything. And second, he's my blood relative you dumbass!" Zire had exclaimed irritatedly. "Blood relative?..." Cydee had pondered his thoughts. As they hid in the corner, the other students began dialing the police. "Go ahead and do it! Call as many cops as you can! In any case, my weapon is more advanced than theirs." Garrett had shouted as he started shooting the boy who stood a meter away from him. Zire had dragged his younger brother out of the way with his rapid movements, taking the junior down with him. Everyone in the room shrieked in fear as they started running, while the beam crashed into the wall behind them, shredding it apart. "Furia! Do you copy? I need back up! And you know where ASAP!" the captain requested as he sent her the voice message through his holographic screen. "Run." Zire had given the orders and was looking at the boy. Cydee had followed his older brother's instructions and had run alongside the students in front of him. The Alpha had tilted his head to watch his opponent racing towards him, he immediately stood up and whacked his opponent in the face with his g*n before kicking his abdomen. Garrett was intended to shoot his rival when Zire kicked the g*n out of his hands and jabbed the man in the cheeks. The Proximanian then walked limply backwards, leaning against the wall. He had a grin on his face as his nose began to bleed, and he placed his right hand on the corner of his lips as he saw nothing but blood. "You're good Castelo... but are you this good?" He inquired as he snatched a sharp blade from beneath his sleeve. Both of them exchanged bold looks. Garrett then dashed towards his enemy, striking his razor-sharp blade ferociously at his opponent. Fortunately, Zire missed every swipe he made, grabbing the man's arm and thrusting the knife out of his grip. Garrett had yanked the blade on the ground after hitting his opponent in the jawline. As he saw the knife heading, the man had grabbed the both of his hand to prevent it. Zire was trapped to the table by his opponent, who was leaning on top of him, causing the blade to get close to his throat. The Alpha, cautiously took a g*n from the side of his belt, a pound on Garrett's face had followed and a strike to the abdomen afterwards. Garrett was resting on the ground, laughing hysterically as Zire aimed the firearm at him. The man then notified both Baron and Cassius on where the energy is located. ~ When the blue holographic panel flashed in front of her and began to reverberate. Furia opened the screen to see a voice message, as she listened. She knew they had to get there fast. "Cydney, we need to get to Cydee's school right now," she remarked as she strapped her black blazer on. "Why? What's- what's going on?" she questioned. The two sisters then proceeded to their younger brother's school, bringing a few weapons along with them. "...You never get tired.. do you?" Garrett mockingly inquired the man. While preparing to pull the trigger, Zire responded. "The only thing that makes me tired is you", While his gaze is fixed on his opponent, who is on the ground. Garrett slid his feet into Zire's ankles, causing him to tumble to the ground and losing the firearm. Garrett then climbed on top of him and had smacked him in the face, his right knee landing on Zire's left arm and suppressing the man from touching him. As the Alpha grasped through the man's clothing, the Proximanian who is seizing his neck, giving everything he has. The captain began to feel light headed and struggled to catch his breathing. Gradually, his vision deteriorated, and he started to lose concentration. His arm had slid back down as he passed out on the concrete. The man then groaned and rose to his feet, picking up his sidearm from the surface as he placed it beside his belt. He locked his sight on his nemesis, who was lying quietly on the floor. He leaned on him while patting his cheeks and had said, "...Sweet dreams, Castelo" Garrett threw another glimpse at Zire before he walked away. Cydee who's running inside the library, he was both terrified and in distressed, hid behind one of the bookshelves, watching over his shoulder as each minute passed by. He was sweating profusely, as he shifted through another rack. When he heard footsteps approaching, he expected his older brother to step up and help him. He checked his phone to see any messages from Cydney. Garrett then noticed that no pupils were entering or exiting the facility, and that each batch was sealed within their respective rooms to protect themselves. He was wandering around the campus when he spotted the library doors were flung opened. And it had aroused his curiosity. He walked in and had a peak around the serene and quiet room. Nothing was visible or audible to him, the man was about to leave, when a ringtone reverberated throughout the chamber. "I got a hangover, woo-ooh-ooh! I've been drinking too much for sure–", He snuck between the books and was startled when he recognized Garrett standing between the library doors. The child was taken aback and, as soon as the phone vibrated, he declined his sister's call. He realized he was in danger. There's no use, even when he turned the silent mode on. He sat still, his palms covering his mouth with the both of his hands. Garrett grinned as he welcomed himself in when he heard the noise. "I know your in here... don't be afraid child, I'm not gonna hurt you if you're not... him." The man had stated while he walked around the room. He waited for a response, but all he received was a complete silence. "Looks like we're going to do this the hard way, hm?" As he snatched his handgun from the side of his belt, Garrett remarked. Every step he took forward bounced all across the room. The child was constantly frightened, and his heart was racing. When he turned around and saw him coming from afar, he took the opportunity to move to another rack. He paused for a second, knowing that his leg was in pain, and breathed and breathed until he could crawl again, leaving his phone behind. While crawling towards the exit, Cydee relied all of his attention on Garrett, who was moving the other way. He didn't check where he was going, and as an i***t, he made a noise, which caused his head to collide with one of the shelves.
