Willow. James was still talking and probably cracking some joke about how stiff my movements were today but I couldn’t hear him. All I could hear was that growl echoing in my ears so low and feral like it had been dragged up from Damon’s chest and forced out of him against his will. Why did that sound make my heart pound in my throat? Why did I like it? I was supposed to be mad or at least confused. He left me in bed without a word and didn’t even touch his side of the room. He didn’t even look at me when I arrived but just told me to go train like everything was normal. Like he hadn’t ruined me the night before with that filtty mouth and the words I’ll never forget.
