CHAPTER ONE

Ouch! This wound hurt so much more than the first one. I thought it was going to be less painful. This is my thought every single morning when he does this. This unnecessary punishmemt; but of course, I can only cry about it. If my mother doesn't believe then who else. I stagger to the bathroom in pain, and begin daily chores. I soon hear my name and I guess its my brother Damian. "Mum says to hurry up. The clinic is closing soon." "Okay, thanks," I said quietly. "Are you okay baby girl?" Damian asked with concern in his voice. I always loved being called that. But the more I smiled thinking about it, the more my cheek hurt. "I'm fine, just a little tired." "Okay then, you'll be fine," he said then left. I wish I could believe that, I just wish but this is obviously not going to get better. I take a deep breath as I hold in the tears. Soon enough, I am ready and head downstairs. My mother, is sitting on the dining with her jaw in hand in a waiting manner. "What took you so long!" "I'm sorry," I said. She motioned to me to get in the car so I did. We got some antibiotics and painkillers. But my legs were stiffer than ever. It was terrible just walking back to the house and up the stairs. I hurry to my room as fast as I can and lock the door behind me. I sit on my bed as I recollect all the memories one by one. It wasnt one to remember, but it was one I could never forget. My own blood father. And no one saw what the problem is? They all called me a liar withouht actually investigating, how could I trust anyone with this. I'm too scared to tell Damian, what if his reaction is bad? What if he is nonchalant just like Mom? I just can't risk it.
