“Hi Doc”, a voice sounded behind me.
I turned around and smiled at Happy, who was standing in line behind me at the buffet.
“Hello Happy”, I welcomed him.
Happy was staring at my shoulder and the blood rushed from my face. s**t! I had forgotten about the bite wounds. I should have worn another shirt that wasn't cut so low.
“Jessie?” he asked quietly, and I could tell by the tone of his voice that he was angry. “Did you sleep with Rage?”
“It’s none of your business, Happy, but yes, I spent the night with him, and there is nothing to get upset about”, I quietly replied.
“Nothing to get upset about?” Happy hissed. “You have four, FOUR bite marks on your shoulder, and two of them are f*****g deep.”
