It’s Saturday, normal 18 year olds go to the mall with their friends and just hang out. Sadly I’m not a normal teenager, my Saturday’s are usually spent sitting in my room talking to the walls. The only friend I have is my four year old daughter who THINKS she’s my little sister. Y’all are probably like “WHAAAATTT!?!? SHE HAS A KID BUT SHE'S SO YOUNG” sadly she wasn’t planned and the s*x wasn’t exactly voluntary. Do what you want with this information, let your imagination run wild because that’s not something I really want to discuss with you all right now. In my world I’m the Virgin Mary because I refuse to accept any of this negativity in my life.
Normal teens plan their lives with long term friends and move on to college to do bigger and better things. Sometimes I wish I could be normal, but I know I was born different for a reason. This reason is still very much unknown to my complex mind, but when I find out you all will be the first to know.
I think today I’ll try and go outside and see the outcome. I honestly don’t want to but everyday I have to push past my limits and at least attempt to get out of this prison they call home.
I get out of my bed and make my way to the bathroom to brush my teeth. When I shut the light on and looked into the mirror a horn like tattoo appeared on the upper part of my shoulder. I’ve been alive for eighteen years and I have NEVER seen this here in my life. If my mother sees this I’m dead, Lilith doesn't play those games.
I quickly brushed my perfectly aligned pearly white teeth and put my messy curls into a quick bun. I walked into my closet and tossed on some gray jogger pants and a white t-shirt paired with my black Nike slides. I ran over to my full body mirror and did a quick check and let me tell you, baby for an abnormal eighteen year old, intelligent melanin goddess baby I look GOOD. The hype never dies with me cause I know I’m beautiful, black don’t crack and if it does they’re on crack.
After I felt confident and fully prepared I walked out of my room and made my way down stairs into the living room with my oh so loving family, note the sarcasm. In this household nobody ever speaks other than my baby girl, but today my grandparents are here so everybody wants to be all buddy buddy with me. As the first born in the family I hold a special place in my grandparents hearts, so when Lilith thinks she's going to step out of line Jahovah and Marrissa snap her back to reality. Same goes for her raggedy excuse of a husband, Micheal.
Once I stepped down that last stair and made my presence known I was attacked with good mornings as if I was missed by my sorry excuse of a mother. I simply replied with a slight wave and ran over to my grandparents nearly knocking them over as I smothered them with love.
“You’ve grown since we saw you last,” my grandmother said, kissing the top of my head giving me a good look as if she was examining me.
“Grandma, you're being dramatic. You saw me two days ago,” I responded with a giggle.
“Two days, ten years, honestly no one is really counting,” my grandfather said with a goofy grin, making me smile and shake my head at the both of them.
Most people think their grandparents are old and played out but I love mine, they’re interesting people.
After our little love fest was over there was a knock at the door and a few loud voices could be heard from the other side. Before anyone could open the door it was literally burned off its hinges and a dark smoke covered the room. Once the smoke settled, 2 winged creatures emerged, they looked like dark angels.
“Hate to be a party pooper Jahovah but we’re here for the princess” one spoke coming near me causing me to scrunch my face up in confusion while my entire family took a fighting stance.
“Hate to be the bearer of bad news Belial, but that’s never going to happen if I’m still around” my grandfather said charging at him with such a speed that if you were to blink you would’ve missed it.
