My heart is pounding and I'm pretty sure Ethan can hear it. It's going to beat out of my chest. I smooth out my dress, the first one I've worn in months.
"You look beautiful."
I glance up at Ethan, at his gentle smile. My heart melts a little as he compliments me. I don't know what to do with them. I'm not used to it. All I do is blush and feel awkward.
"Really?" I smile at him shyly.
He leans in, brushing the tip of his nose against mine. "Absolutely the most beautiful woman I've ever laid eyes on."
He rests his forehead on mine and closes his eyes. I breathe in his smell and rest my hands on his chest.
"Beautiful," he murmurs. "I love you so much..."
