Chapter 5: Taking Sides
Rory groggily opened his eyes, wondering where he was. It felt comfortable, and underneath the sheet covering him, he was wearing nothing. He was aching in places that he hadn’t for a while, and his skin felt grimy with dried sweat. The room he was in was fairly small and sparsely furnished.
He sat up, and as he raised his hand to wipe the sleep from his eyes, he noticed two red puncture marks on his wrist.
He’d slept with Liberty. That was unexpected and slightly startling. He couldn’t quite believe he’d fallen asleep with a vampire close at hand. Where was his training when he needed it?
Then again, the handbook had no information regarding how to handle sleeping with vampire gunslingers.
