~ Estelle’s POV ~

“Ellie... what happened? Why are you spacing out? I thought that you would be happy, but you looked quite stunned. For a moment, I thought that you had stopped breathing”. I heard a familiar voice which was filled with warmth.

What exactly just happened?

Where is Eve and why does this place seem kind of familiar?

Suddenly, someone shook me to get me out of my daze and when I looked at my side, I found the girl who didn’t betray me till the last day of her life. She always thought good of me and I was not even able to protect her.

Tears started to form in my eyes when I looked into her eyes and, without thinking, I just embraced her in a tight hug.

“Scarlet... you are alive”, I stuttered while I was still hugging her.

It’s my packhouse. The one that never abandoned me and in front of me is my best friend, who was showing me some of the outfits that she was going to wear for the first day of the academy.

“What happened to you, girl? Why are you behaving so weirdly? I am not going anywhere, so could you use less strength?” She coughed a little, but I didn’t want to let go of her.

Is this for real?

Am I seriously back in a time when nothing happened?

Does that mean that even my parents are alive? I need to go and check it out by myself.

No, first I need to know what day today is and how I was able to turn back the time? This just doesn’t make any sense to me, but if this is not some dream, then the one who played with me... is going to be the one to lose everything in the end.

In this life, I am not going to become anyone’s rebound. Just thinking about it is enough to boil my blood in pure rage.

If Scarlet is showing me her outfits, then it means I still have two months for my eighteenth birthday. Everything began when my path crossed with Claude. He was the first person to help me out when others were bullying me, but I didn’t know at that time that his help was not free and I had to pay such a heavy price.

“Are you fine? Do you want me to take you to the pack doctor? We were just talking about the guys and you suddenly went, mum. Other pack members told me about the next Alpha of the Blue Blood Pack. What was his name again?

They did say that he was not only popular but quite a catch. Every girl wants him as her mate and I have heard that he is no longer dating. Who knows... maybe the moon goddess had chosen him as your mate”, she sounded quite chirpy while she clapped her hands in excitement.

Mate and him?

Nah, I don’t want such bad luck.

He ruined my life and not only that... he dared to hurt my daughters. He will have to pay for it.

“Never... never say such things. Not even in your jokes. I don’t want any sort of relationship with that kind of man and you should even try to keep some distance from him. He is not good news for anyone. Let’s just focus on other important stuff, alright?” I told her calmly while I moved a little away from her. I kept my hand on her shoulders and she just looked into my eyes with a confused look on her face.

I can’t let her get involved in my fights. I need to keep her away from everything. She lost her life without finding her mate, but even in her last moments... she tried to cheer me up with a bright smile on her face. Not only that, but she even gave me every last penny that she had with her and that’s one of the reasons how I was able to survive those months with my daughters in that wooden cottage.

“You know... you are seriously acting weird. Should I call Alpha and Luna? You do know how much they worry about you, right? If Luna gets to know about your condition, then she won’t let you attend the first day of our academy”, Scarlet said while she got up from her bed.

This is my room... the one that I left to stay with that so-called unworthy mate of mine.

No, if mom does get involved, then she seriously won’t let me go out and I can’t miss the first day at any cost.

“Nah, I am seriously fine. It’s just that I am seriously excited about meeting everyone in the academy. Oh, and especially the popular ones. Umm, wear this one. Black looks good on you”, I said to her with a smile on my face while I picked out an outfit for her.

While I was looking around... suddenly, my eyes fell on the flowers which were kept on the side table of the bed.

Who sent these flowers and why did that person send me lilies?

Did I receive something like this in my last life also, but why am I not able to remember that time? I tried to look for some sort of note inside the bouquet, but I didn’t find anything.

This is seriously strange.

Suddenly, the door of my room opened and there I saw the two people who meant the world to me... my parents.

“Estelle... are you still angry at us?” My father asked, but before they could ask me anything further, I just dashed towards their direction and before they could even blink, I embraced them in a tight hug.

“I missed you both”, I tried to hold my tears, but I couldn’t so tears started to roll down my cheeks.

“What’s happening? Do you have any idea, Scarlet?” My mother asked my best friend, but she just shook her head.

“Just don’t ask me anything, Luna”, she replied to her while she sighed.

I won’t let any harm befall my people or my pack. My daughters... if only they were here, then my family would have been complete, but those people snatched everything, but not anymore. I won’t let them have their way.

In this life, they will have to go through me before touching my people.

My parents looked kind of distressed for some reason, so I looked up at them and asked for the reason that they were not able to look straight into my eyes .
