Tarantovian Bastion-School for young people with unique abilities

Aka “torture school” as I love to think about it. Come on! We are not even in a place in a map, we are in an asteroid. YES a FREAKING ASTEROID. The first time that I learned it I did not believe it until I almost got myself killed. Yes… I was pretty tough until they made me change my opinion. At some point on the first trimester that I got here, I was able to escape from the school grounds to the forest that surround the area. I past trough some meadows, rivers and the typical things that you would find on Earth, my last home before coming here. So… I was thinking on the lines of “there you go, children kidnappers. Trying to sell me smoke, huh?” When I literally crashed on a force field and some weird crazy guys started shooting me with concentrated energy. If not for the legendary on time Mrs. Alasne who saved my ass from the guards, I my sorry ass would be scattered on the air right now.

Well… well… I got sidetracked again. I was trying to let you know the kind of place where I’m stuck. It was designed some millennia ago on ancient civilizations, which nowadays are simply legends. I mean there are some living proofs that they existed, but I tend to not believe a tenth of the things I’m said until I can see and prove properly with my senses. There are stories that this place was used as a fort –or bastion on the ancient wars, and was left with some pretty heavy stuff –God only knows where- in case some major emergency arises again. I really hope not. I have been exploring every nook and cranny in here since forever and all I see is a plain normal place, with some serious damn strong people maintaining it. But seriously… it could be the same in any other place. I don’t see anything special in here, of course, leaving aside the damn solitude of an ASTEROID. A magical one. With all the s**t that you can imagine, and more.

So… again, the school? Basically, the basic instruction is based on a ten year program –on Earth years. It covers DEFENSE I against all the s**t that you cannot touch, as the so called magic, mana, willpowers or ethereal beings. DEFENSE II, covering all the physical attacks that you could be subjected into, guns and weapons are included in here. ATTACK I where you learn how to channel your powers into harming your opponent/s and ATTACK II where you learn to give serious physical problems to the ones who try to get into your damn way. Seriously. We are trained to be killing machines with perfect defenses.

There are some other important classes such as alchemy, survival on unknown and hostile environments, archaic code and THE CREATION. The f*****g creation. No s**t. Like the real thing. Anyway, the ten year program is an approximate. There are no urges from the school as long as the ones who sponsor you don’t meet any kind of trouble or the need of oyurs powers arise outside. And, the general rule is that the students are considered luck if they excel at just one of this areas. As in Earth you can find some intelligent people or strong people, but is hard to find the ones that are both, the same goes for us.

The good thing here, is that I’m good at nearly everything. And I excel at the creation of powerful defense spells, I tend to make them under the form of barriers –I have improved some of this old school myself.  My worst is at the physical attacks. But I will definitely improve it in my remaining time in here. I will make the most of it.

Well… after you finish your basic instruction, you can opt to take some advanced classes. Like an MBA or a doctorate. It puts you between the elite of the elite. After the exam that I took today, I’ll be attending those classes -which begin shortly.
