My father stared at me, then looked back at Susan. “What the hell is going on here?” he asked, but neither one of us answered him.
Someone was messing with pack members, but who would? We were a pack that everyone respected. Did we do something wrong or show that we weren't good enough?
“That stupid alpha,” Lou growled, but it couldn’t be. Alpha Bryce wouldn’t have caused all this, not even when he was with my father and Susan.
I looked at my father, but Susan spoke. “Someone is clearly messing around with our pack members,” she said, looking at him, but turned to face me. “I would never do such a thing, not only to a child but to someone your brother cares about. She has helped him too, besides Sage.”
I stared at her, but her mention of Sage surprised me.
