W-WHAT?” Barbie was almost stammering.
Kurt shook his head.
“Nothing,” he blurted out and went on with his driving.
They were silent for a long time until Barbie spoke.
“How far is your house from the university?” she inquired.
“Well, it’s about fifteen minute-drive,” Kurt replied while glancing at her.
“Oh, that is not very far from here, then,” Barbie commented and turned her attention on the road.
They had just passed the university gate and were now on the highway. Barbie never tried going out at night outside the campus so, she was amazed at the bright lights on the street.
