The Beginning (Book One of Rossiya Moy Dom Series)

1715 Words
The wind's blowing hard against the school's office window, a place Alice never thought she'd see herself in, but here she is. Alice knew she would hate Russia, but it's a place she was forced to go and now a new school uniform being ordered to wear, she readies to attend her new school in St Petersburg and uses the office waiting area to do so. Her mum moved in with her Russian husband Viktor Resnov, a man she despises no matter how hard he tries to be fake nice to her. "I'm here for my new timetable." Alice squeaks at the reception lady, the old woman peering up at her with hard blue eyes before opening her mouth. "And you are?" the woman asks bluntly, her Russian accent thick and making it a little hard for Alice to understand her. "Alice Hayes." she mumbles while glancing at her shoes as the lady bangs her old fingers on the keyboard. "Okay here it is. Have a good day." the lady smiles crisply then hands it to her and returning to her work. Alice exits the office and heads to her locker, students casting her glances of confusion though she doesn't understand; she thought her bright orange hair would match her black uniform. Maybe Russia isn't ready for her yet. Inhaling a deep breath she grabs the books for her next class then locks her locker, spinning around and almost colliding into a guy around six foot or taller, a deep mocha gaze, messy chocolate brown locks and warm olive skin. She checks out his body for some the same reasons all girls do when meeting an attractive guy, strongly built and perfect in every way but she is meant to hate the school and everyone in it, so she's quick to turn her interest into disgust. Alice can't contain her raging pulse, sweaty hands and gawking eyes the longer she is forced to look at him, her distaste for the male slowly turning back into interest no matter how hard she fights it. "S-sorry." she stutters then blushes instantly and causing her to lock gazes with her Doc Martens. "It's fine. I see you're from Australia, why'd you move here?" the guy grins with his accent getting in the way a bit of what he's saying. "My mum married a guy over here." she answers simply while scuffing the toe of her Doc along the carpet. "I see." the boy grins even wider when he runs a tanned hand through his messy hair. "Well I'm Alice Hayes." she smiles then extends her subtly trembling hand thanks to the adrenaline now coursing through her veins, this guy has managed to spark up inside her. "Joseph Dzhumagaliev." he beams back and takes her hand. The touch sends shivers up her spine, goose bumps breaking out all over her skin though she is quick to bite her lip to stop her from gawking at him any longer. "What class?" he asks yet his accent sends another wave of shivers through her. "Ah art." she finally answers when she's able to tear her gaze away from his, something she doesn't want to do yet does considering she isn't that easily swept off of her feet. "Alright let's go. I have the same art class as you." he chuckles before noticing Alice's slight blush. "Okay cool." she says meekly whilst sensing Joseph's gaze on her once again. Alice and Joseph make their way to art, both silent because Alice is too scared to talk and Joseph really doesn't know what to say at this point. "Alice?" he questions nervously while biting his lip a little. "Y-yeah?" she stammers as well as hoping it isn't something bad. "Your hair is really bright." he laughs as he continues to stare more intently at it. "Thank you, I guess." she beams awkwardly then gives the ends of her hair a little pull to straighten them out, not knowing if it's a good thing her hair is as bright as Joseph's acknowledging. They enter the warm classroom, all eyes automatically on them and she instantly feels that pressure she had when she first walked through those school gates, all over again. Their art teacher shoots them a glare as they take their seats, her knowing she doesn't have to speak Russian to know he's pissed they're late. "And why are you two late?" he barks in Russian. "She's the new student sir." Joseph grumbles after he shoots Alice a quick side glance. "Very well, take your seats." is all he says though Alice is a little annoyed he didn't even want to know who she is. Then again if she doesn't really care for the people in the school, why should they care for her? * The wind howls outside of Alice's bedroom window yet all she can think about is Joseph and the way they kept eye f*****g each other in class. At one point she swore he was going to start feeling her up, causing students at another point to look at them weirdly when slight giggles were heard. A tap on her window distracts her from thinking about Joseph; a smile forming on her lips at the thought of how it could possibly be Joseph. So curious as ever she opens the window to observe Joseph grinning smugly at her, her mind wondering if she has super powers and if she actually made him appear or if this is just mad coincidence. "What are you doing here?" she hisses only bites her lip and witnesses him climbs in through her opened window. "I'm here because I needed to see you oddly enough." he whispers while closing the distance between them. "Jos-" "Shh." he hushes then places a cold finger to her lips in unison. "What about my parents?" she breathes when she feels his hand slide to the band of her black skinnies, something she has never had done to her and an experience she doesn't have. "We'll be quiet." he murmurs before brushing his lips against hers. Alice lets a moan sound in the back of her throat while grabbing a handful of his black v-neck long sleeve, the front of his shirt balled tightly in her hand the deeper he kisses her. Laying her down on the bed his hand flitters down to her jeans again, his hand then pulling her white singlet up and fingers lightly grazing her stomach. She shivers as another moan sounds from her mouth, Joseph chuckling against Alice's lips until hardening the kiss when she grabs a hold of him on the outside of his jeans. His hand returns under the waistband of her jeans, causing Alice's heart to speed up and more lip biting the slower he seems to edge his fingers. "Joseph." she whimpers when feeling his fingers get closer. "Don't worry about it." he breathes in her ear whilst kissing her neck a little as his hand advances. Alice squeezes her eyes shut, begging herself to let him go though she can't find herself wanting this right now. Not when she has just moved to the area. She then thinks about what if he's like this with all the new girls that come to the school and that instantly does it for her. "Wait." she pants and sensing Joseph's hand stopping instantly. "What is it?" he frowns as he searches her face for the answer. "I don't want to." she breathes shakily while pulling her singlet down. "You're serious right?" he demands with his eyes widening when he snatches his hand out of her pants. "N-no, I-" but Joseph doesn't want a bar of it. "Save it, I know what I heard." he growls and ignores her pleas to stay. "Joseph." she begs before tugging on his shirt as he gets up. "No way." he snarls then storms towards her window with a disgusted look, as if she'd just practically pissed herself in front of him. As soon as he jumps out the window, Alice lets the tears fall and doesn't cease until there're no more left to shed. How could she have done that to the guy she likes? Even though she has no idea of how he found her, it still shakes her to the core when she recalls the expression on his face. She doesn't care though which is weird, with each second of him on her mind she can't help but like him more. * The next day, Alice drags herself out of bed. She didn't sleep a wink last night. How can she? The incident from last night kept replaying over and over in her head. Sighing, she stomps downstairs in her clothes from last night and prepares herself something to eat before she has to face Joseph at school. The scene that awaits her is horrifying, one no one would expect to wake up to yet she has and it's instantly sending vomit from her mouth and mixing in with her mum and stepdad's blood. Her parent's bodies are lying motionless on the floor, bullet wounds in their skulls and blood splatters showing where the exit wounds were made. She slinks her way to them, slipping and sliding in blood as tears blur her vision while her mind conjures up a bunch of people who it could have been, yet comes out empty handed when no one comes to mind. A white piece of paper on her stepdad's chest catches her attention, frowning and crying she takes the bloody piece of paper and waits for the blur in her vision to lessen so she's able to read it. There scrawled out in a familiar print are the words that will haunt her for the rest of her life. Well that's if she chooses to live on after this point. I hope you like what I've done to your family. Maybe that'll teach you for leading me on. I'll see you around Alice Hayes xxx Alice lets a blood curdling scream out, automatically dropping down into her parent's blood and wishing this is all a f****d up nightmare. How could he have done this, all over because she said no! Maybe this is her karma for wishing her mum death when she was dragged up here.
