KIARA Melissa's claws sank into the curve of my shoulder, and I jabbed my elbow into her stomach, knocking the air out of her lungs. She stumbled backwards, clutching at her stomach, a mixture of pain and fury brewing in her eyes. "You got stronger," she commented, her eyes darkening. "Of course I did." My retort dripped with defiance. My hands seized a white bathrobe off its hanger by the wall. In swift motions, I wrapped the robe around me and tied the sash around my waist with my gaze fixed on Melissa. Fueled by rage, she launched another attack.
