“What are you talking about, I am not getting it” I said keeping my head low

“Do you really take me as a stupid” she said and wipe her mouth with tissue

“Nothing is going on, he is the producer who gave me role in movie that’s all” I said and gulp the last bite of food

“I am your best friend and by looking at your face I know something is not good with you and I have a feeling that it is related with mason” she said and her eyes are accusing me of something

“I think I need to leave, my husband is waiting for me “I said and get up from chair

“What husband you are talking about who hardly gets home; now tell me what’s the matter. I see something in mason’s eyes for you” she said and I internally laugh, she must have seen the hate in his eyes for me

“Stop it Alison” I said and turn around to leave but her words filled with hatred stopped me

“Why did you get the role so suddenly and so that in a high budgeted movie, are you doing some sought of s****l favors for producer mason” she said and I turn around to look at her, why everyone think of me so low even my best friend

“That means I am right, your husband is not bad but it’s you that is why he doesn’t care about a characterless wife like you. People like you are malign the whole industry, I feel disgusted that I made a best friend like you” she said and when I couldn’t control my anger I give her tight slap and fall on the floor

“Why everyone is thinking of me so low, I have never done anything wrong. Sleeping with a husband is not wrong, I only slept with my husband and yes that is mason. I don’t know why I am clarifying to you when my own husband takes me as a slut” I burst into tears

“How can mason be your husband” she asked me with confusion

“We have been married for 2 months because my mom has a cancer and our parents are friends so they decided to marry us but our marriage is nothing but a failure. He loves someone else but I don’t know that person, this is the reason I guess he doesn’t come home. He hates me because I destroyed his life and his chance of getting married to a girl he loves” I said all this while sobbing

“Oh my god, what the hell and how did you know that he love someone else” she asked me and also sit on the floor with me

“We used to go to same school and college, I got to know this from one of his friend, and you joined the college when he has already passed out. After completing my college we married off to each other secretly” I said to her

“I am sorry for doubting your character Hailey, please forgive me. I doubted you because he was behaving different with you at party” she asked for my forgiveness and I can understand her point of view also

Then I told her the whole story of how I slept with him and to hide my feelings I made a lie and now I am trapped in a lie

“How can you make an absurd lie now he will take advantage of you” she said to me

“I know but I can’t  do anything, today’s morning he told me to sleep  with him if I want another assignment of modeling just because he think that  I am getting closed to director Adam” I said to her. She makes me stand from the floor and give me water

“Just calm down and have a seat, we need to think of ways to get out of this mess and one think is clear you are not going to sleep with that insensitive man again” she said and we both take a seat on chair. We both are sitting together with a cup of coffee but silent for few hours

“Why don’t you tell me that you love him and you lied that you slept with him for contract” she advised me

“No I can’t do this, let this thing be a secret. If he gets to know that I have feelings for him then he can use it against me, you don’t know how much he hates me and his hates towards me is justified” I said

“Do you by any chance know the name of the girl who he liked” she asked me

“No I don’t know, I only heard that he is in love but with whom that thing I didn’t know” I said

“What if that girl is you, there is a possibility that he may be in love with you since you both know each other from childhood” she said and I look at her with wide eyes

I know him from childhood that’s why I am saying he is not in love with me, he always used to have a cold behavior towards me and we were not even friends back then” I clarify her doubt

“Forget about all this nonsense and focus on your career” she said

“Yes you are right, I should focus on my work” I said and put the coffee cup down when I heard my phone ringing. I take out my phone from my pocket and it is flashing the name of mason

“Why is he calling you” Alison asked me because she also sees the name on screen

“I don’t know this is the first time he is calling me” I said and picked up the call

“Hello” I said over the call

“Where are you and with whom” he asked me in hurry

“I am in Alison’s house” I give him the correct information

“COME BACK HOME NOW” he said with anger and then cut the call, why is he angry now I haven’t done anything

“What was he saying” she asked me

“I am going back home, something urgent came up” I said and hurriedly take my bag and car keys and left from there. I drive in hurry I have no idea of him being angry I didn’t do anything; everything was going well until I got drunk and then my life take 360 degree turn.

Why I fall for him, it would be so much better and lovely if I fall for someone else then my life would be perfect but I guess nothing can be perfect and this is where the destiny plays its role. I reached outside the home and knock at the gate in panic then he opened the gate with anger blazing eyes. He gave me side to enter the house then he shut the door with a bang

“Where were you” he asked me

“I told you earlier” I said to him because he is asking me this question twice

“Don’t try to be over smart with me, I don’t believe that you were in Alison’s house” he said gripping my chin, I try to remove his grip but he is muscular not like a weak and pathetic human like me.

“You were out for almost whole day and you want me to believe that you are at your assistant’s house unbelievable” he said and release my chin harshly from his grip

“We need to discuss something so I went there and I  am saying the truth” I said, I wanted to ask him why he is suddenly interested in me but I don’t have the courage why I can’t be brave like every other girl, I guess this is the reason that he is not in love with me

He look at me for a while trying to find lie in my talks then take out a papers from his coat pocket and handed over to me

“What is this” I asked him and he take a seat on sofa

“This is your next modeling assignment which Adam is going to give you” he said to me and I close my eyes to stop my tears

“I don’t think I need this I am already working in your film and it will take a while to complete that film so taking a next project is not right now” I said to him in confidence

“Why are you not accepting this, am I not good enough to sleep with or some different flavor that you want” he said in bitter tone

“Why you think so low of me, at least remember I am your wife may be for name sake but still we have some relationship at least respect that” I said this with tears in my eyes

“Now don’t do acting by crying and also don’ talk about relationship because you never care about it, you are selfish and cunning b***h who only think about yourself” he taunt me

“May be we don’t  have husband and wife relationship but I always respect the vows which we have taken, I have never lied to you  and on the other side you never bothered to check upon me, you hardly come home” for the first time I act brave in front of him

 Don’t Talk about vows, If you really care about vows then you will never think of cheating me” he said standing close to me

“It’s you who always cheat on me, every day I see you with different women, is it not called cheating but I bet you never saw me with other guy” I said with hammering heart

He looks at me with dangerous eyes then he reduces the space between us
