Luana After Jonathan left for work, I stood there for a few minutes, facing the silence of the house. It was strange how his presence still echoed in the room, even after he had already left. I took a deep breath and went about my routine, needing to clear my mind, take a deep breath, and stay strong. I tidied up the house, organized things, and took a long shower to shake off that laziness that the heat sticking to the skin brings. I looked at myself in the mirror, drying my face, and thought: “You have your life, Luana. Go out there and live it.” I got ready calmly, put on my work outfit, fixed my hair, and went to my office. I had appointments today, and I couldn't let myself be overwhelmed by thoughts, doubts, by this emotional whirlwind that JN stirred up in me. I needed to focus.
