As soon as Urso left the base, I took the chance to drop by my wife's clinic. I was already missing her, her scent, her lips, it was such a wild feeling, I had to go there, even if it was just to get a whiff of her neck, look into her eyes, remember why everything started to make sense again. When I arrived, she was saying goodbye to a client. And as usual... a client I had already hooked up with. I stood there at the door for a few seconds, just observing. The girl looked me up and down, but at least had the decency to keep her composure. She was discreet. Didn't say a word. Just gave that crooked smile and left. I took a deep breath.
