Gabriela squinted her eyes at the sun that was shining in her face, rolling to her side. It took her a few seconds to realize she was in her own hotel room, sleeping in her own bed. Her eyes stopped on the second bed, but Lina was not there even though the covers were in disarray, as if somebody had slept in it. She sat up, looking around the room and trying to remember how she got there last night. She remembered going to Theo’s room with Lina, then Kyle pulled her in his lap in front of everyone, and then there was some drinking. Everything after that was fuzzy. Closing her eyes, she tried to focus on the rest, hoping she hadn’t made a fool of herself.
