Gabriela winced as her head hit the window, waking her from her uneasy sleep. She opened her eyes and blinked a few times until her brain was fully awake, then looked around. The lights on the bus were dimmed, and the sun had gone down some time ago, drowning them in semi-darkness. The bus was relatively quiet, with just a few people whispering under their breaths while the others were still sleeping. She raised her hands to pull her headphones down when she realized one of them felt unusually heavy.
