“Hugh? Hugh! Where are you, dam…” Gabriela’s voice echoed through the cafe, stopping mid-curse, and Kyle raised his head just as she stopped by his table. A few strands of her hair were falling around her face and she had a small line of chocolate smeared on her chin, but she looked even more fierce than usual. Watching her work quickly and efficiently despite the whole cafe being full — all while constantly going around looking for her little brother, it only made him realize how much he didn’t know about her.
