Chapter Twenty-eight

[ Khyzrr Khryss Alejandro's Point of View ]

I woke up in a very unfamiliar room, first I smiled on the thought that maybe I’m inside Keliche’s room but that immediately vanished when I felt a pain on my stomach. The memories came back like a speed of lightning into my head and I remembered what happened before I blocked out. That devil!

“Ah shit.” I cursed when I felt the pain again, I’m trying to sit but when I saw that someone’s sleeping beside me, I smiled. I don’t care about the pain as long as she’s here taking care of me, did she really sleep here for me?

“Uh, I can stare at her face forever. Damn, I think I love this girl damn much.” I whispered to myself while stroking the strands of hair covering her gorgeous face. What a lovely sight!

“Yea, you love her, you piece of s**t took the bullet for her.”

I gasped in horror when I saw Green while holding a basket of fruits and my sister’s on her side. My eyes widen with what did I just said, did I, did they heard it?

“Get married already.” Lizzey told me before sitting on the sofa inside the room, I just glared at her because it’s not that easy. A while ago we’re running from bullets, what’s next? I can’t even think how my father loves torturing me like this, he loves taking my happiness away.

“Can you spy at the mansion for me? Tell me all of his plans.” I begged Lizzey, she’s looking at her nails while Green’s arranging the fruits on the table.

“He loves torturing me too, you know. Once he knew that I’m dating this guy, he’ll do something too. Let’s just install hidden cameras inside the mansion, you think?” She said, my eyes wide with what she just said.

“So, you’re dating this guy now, huh? I thought that he’s just a flavor of the week or something. You’re in love, little sis.” I teased her, she just rolled her eyes before raising up her middle finger on me, with that, I laughed. Just like the old times. She said that he’ll call the doctor and when the doctor came he just gave some advices, the dos and don’ts plus what happened to me so I just smiled. After he said everything, he left.

Minutes later, Keliche began to move and then she already opened her eyes, I saw confusion in her eyes so I smiled. Her eyes widen and she stood up but Lizzey stopped her.

“The doctor…”

“It’s done, the doctor already talked to him. He’s fine.” She explained, with that Keliche heaved a sigh, maybe she’s already relieved or something.

I was looking at her and the next thing I knew is that she’s already hugging me and with a shocked face, I hugged her back.

“Please, tell me that I’m not dreaming.” She said so I smiled and whispered back,

“You’re not. I’m safe already, you don’t need to worry anymore.” I answered, she began sobbing and the next think I knew is her tears are flowing down already. She’s being emotional again.

“I really thought that you’ll die! You took the bullet for me and --.” I chuckled. She stopped before pulling out from the hug and glared at me while I’m laughing at her. I smiled before sitting properly and looked at her, “I’m fine, I’m okay. You don’t need to be like that anymore.” I said to her so she nodded while she’s rolling her eyes.

“I’m being concerned and you’re just laughing at me. You know, f**k you.” She said before sitting on the chair again, while me, I’m just smiling at her.

“Khyzrr, stop teasing her. She’s just concerned for your health, she cried a lot you know. We can’t even make her go to work and we even pushed her to get her clothes and take a bath.” Lizzey said before looking at Keliche’s who’s now rolling her eyes at her. Lizzey and Green just laughed, she’s really my sister.

“I don’t know that she’ll be like you, I thought she’s different.” Keliche murmured while we laughed, with her anger, she punched me lightly and with that I acted as if she hurt me so badly but she didn’t move.

“Your arms aren’t the one who got shot, stop acting like an idiot.” She said before standing up and she began walking towards the door and when she opened it, I’m alarmed that maybe she won’t come back here anymore.

“Hey, where are you going?” I asked her.

“I’ll be back. Don’t miss me much.” She said before she left and with that, the lovebirds started teasing me. I glared at them.

“I thought you’ll never find someone who’ll burn you down because you know, you’re worshipped by women. I’m glad that someone can make you eat some dust. Keliche’s one of a kind, she even punched me for cursing at you while you’re still asleep.” Green said while he’s thinking how did it happened.

Suddenly, someone’s phone started ringing. They searched for it and when they found it, it’s from my phone so I immediately answered it. It’s from an unknown number.

“Let’s play with fire, the bullets isn’t enough.” A demon’s voice said before ending the call, I cursed before I started to stand up from the bed but I can’t because of the pain. f**k this!

“Damn, Green. Find Keliche right now, wait.” I immediately look for where she is with the GPS, thank God that she’s in her apartment. “I can’t track her!” I told him, he nodded and said that he’ll just search for her before planting a kiss on my sister’s forehead. They bid goodbye before Green got out of the room.

No, my queen’s a brave woman. No one can make her scream for help, no one. I know that she can handle herself. I trust her.

“Who called you?” Lizzey asked.

I smirked, “Father.” I answered and with that, she immediately fished out her phone and called someone.

I just heard her saying that she’s taking back a payment and that she needs a little help before she ended the call. What was that? She looks like a freaking boss as of the moment.

“What?” She asked when she caught me staring at her, she smiled a bit before explaining.

“I maybe looked like a flirt to you, big bro but I know how to manipulate men with my hands. Easy as pie.” She said before putting a grape inside her mouth.

My sister’s gone mad. This is why I love her dearly, she has connections. She has dad’s face and she’s pretty, a bit crazy and manipulative just like dad but she’s not one of her toys. She can’t be manipulated by anyone. She has her own rules. But she sometimes listens to me because we’re only have each other’s back right now. We’re both runaways from home.

“Oh s**t!” I heard her curse so I looked at her, she’s holding her phone again.

“What happened?!” I asked hysterically, she stood up and walked towards me.

“Her apartment’s on fire. She’s inside and the fire’s still big and hey wait!” I didn’t let her finish, I began removing the IV inserted in me, my queen, she needs me!

“f**k that devil! f**k him if something happened to Keliche, I’ll never think twice, I’ll kill him!” I shouted before I started running outside, I don’t care about my sister, I just need to be there, right now! I don’t care if my stomach’s in pain. I don’t care about everything!

I immediately ran towards the road and hailed a taxi, when I got inside, I immediately told him where to go and commanded him to be quick.

Not too far from Keliche’s apartment, I can see a wild fire and I can see that the people around are gathering a pail of water and they are helping the fireman to kill the f*****g fire.

“Sir, that would be --.” I didn’t let him finish, I came out of the taxi as soon as it stopped, I saw Lizzey came out from her car and I signaled her to pay for the taxi, she rolled her eyes before nodding. I took a deep breath before running towards the door when someone called me.
