Chapter One

[Keliche Shizamme Sandoval's Point of View]

It’s my first day at work. And I’m kind of excited because finally, I will be striving hard for a permanent job, I’m not going to be a part-timer for the rest of my life!

“Kels, breakfast is ready! Get up or you’ll be late!” Alana shouted outside my bedroom door so I glance at my full length mirror for the last time, and when I was already satisfied, I went out of my room and made my way towards our kitchen.

The smell of freshly brewed coffee invaded my nostrils, I saw Alana sitting already in her chair. She’s already waiting for me, so I also sat in my chair.

“Let’s eat.” I said to her, she smiled and nodded before taking a sip of her creamy coffee. I just shrugged while thinking how many spoons of sugar did she put in that coffee, it gives me shivers down my spine.

“Khyzrr will be picking you up today.” Alana said that made me stop for a while. I looked at her, I bet she loves this, she loves pranking and joking around. I bet she even gave Khyzrr my cellphone number already! This girl!

“Oh, stop what you’re doing! Are you a cupid now or something?” I asked her while eating a spoonful of rice and bacon.

“Hmm. Yeah, I don’t want you to die single. I hate to admit this but you really need to get a guy now, Kels!” She answered with matching dance moves, she’s literally wiggling her body like she’s feeling giddy or something. I will feel sorry for her future husband, she’s a crazy psycho who loves to eat sweet things.

We just bully each other while eating breakfast which is our usual routine every morning. When we finished eating, I washed the dishes since Als made our breakfast. She went out early because she is the one who holds the key of the shop. When I finished fixing myself, brushing my teeth and putting my shoes on, since I’m wearing denim jeans, I went out of the apartment and I almost drop my sling bag when I saw Khyzrr standing beside his car while tapping something on his phone.

“Hey, walking dimple.” I greeted him which made him look at me, as he smiles, his twin dimple immediately showed up.

“Come, let’s go to work.” He said, he put his phone in his pocket and opened the passenger door for me, so I nodded and went inside. He pushed the door closed so I immediately put my seatbelt on. When he went to the driver’s seat, he immediately maneuvered the wheel as he started the car.

“You didn’t have to pick me up.” I almost whispered but loud enough for him to hear so he just chuckled, “Since I have to make you smile, might as well act like your boyfriend for a short period of time. Boyfriend do fetch their girlfriend, right?”

I mentally face-palmed myself upon hearing those words, I wanted to disappear right now. I felt my cheeks blushed, ugh why does it feel so hot, right now? I looked at the AC and my forehead creased when I saw it working. Geez! What is happening to me?!

“Do you want me to turn on the radio?” He asked, I just nodded as he put the radio on.

When I heard what she just said, I almost choked up my own saliva. Wow, nice one, destiny. I looked at Khyzrr’s reaction and he looked like he wanted to laugh. Ugh, this man looked like a handsome i***t.

“You can laugh now.” I said to him while listening to the song which made me think of what will happen to me, to “us”, for the next couple of days. What will this walking dimple do to make a cold-hearted girl like me smile? I mean, will he accomplish the stupid mission he made?

We stayed silent not until, “You smile, I smile. Oooh, darling smile for me?” He jokingly said so I just rolled my eyes at him, he just laughed as he parked his car at the parking lot. He stopped the car and unlocked the door, he immediately walked towards the passenger door and opened it for me.

“Such a gentleman.” I commented while he’s grinning from ear to ear so I slapped his shoulders which made him groan.

“Stop being so violent please, if you don’t want me to kiss you right here, right now.” He said while closing the distance between us. Now, he’s threatening me.

“Oh, shut up. Let’s just go to work already.” I said, I gained all my force to push his big masculine well-sculpted body away from me. Ugh, why do it have to be so hard? He’s like a rock for whoever’s sake!

As we walked towards the elevator, I saw bunch of girls giggling as we go near them. I will deal with this kind of situation every day when I’m with this walking dimple.

“They are looking at you.” I whispered to him, he looked at me and gave me a boring expression before whispering back, “Yeah. But I love looking at you.” He even winked at me! The nerve of this guy!

“Oh please, stop talking nonsense already. My ear hurts.” I said to him before acting like I hurt my ears, he just shrugged before holding my hand. We entered the elevator, and he’s still holding my freaking hand. When we get inside, I immediately take back my hand though it’s too late because the girls whose staring at Khyzrr a while ago is now glaring at me. What in the world?

“They are already glaring at me.” I whispered to him, he just smiled like he’s enjoying the scene right now. I mean, he doesn’t even do anything to calm the nerves of his girls. So now, I will face this girl’s wrath alone? This isn’t a very good idea! I think I won’t make it until tomorrow. If looks could kill, I’d probably be dead right now.

“Lovey-dovey isn’t appropriate during working hours so since you’re already in the company refrain from being sweet with each other, avoid being sweet if necessary or don’t do sweet things at all. Do it outside the company and after working hours.” Mr. Craniard bitterly said looking at me and Khyzrr who is now smiling at him. Even our supervisor will kill me, I bet he’s going to make my job a living hell.

When the elevator stopped at our floor, I immediately walked pass through them. I heard Khyzrr calling me but I didn’t mind him. I don’t want to be a dead meat, I still want to live!

“Ms. Sandoval, report to my office. Right now.” Mr. Craniard’s voice invaded my ears, I bet he’s serious about making my life a living hell. I mean, he’s smiling at me before walking towards his office, he signaled his hand, instructing me to follow him inside, so I did.

“Ms. Sandoval, since you’re an achiever at a very young age. I know that the counting of sales and marketing would be easy for you so I will give you a task that will make you scream for help.” He said while looking at the pile of paper works not far from where I was standing.

“Sir, what do you want me to do?” I asked while giving him a blank expression so he won’t smell my fear.

“Very tough. Go get a rim of bond papers and start photocopying that pile of files. I will wait for it until afternoon, do it 20 pieces each.” He ordered that made me gulp a large number of saliva. This gay is insane!

“Fine, sir. I’ll do it immediately.” I said without any hint of fear in my voice. No, I won’t make him doubt me even for a little. I will make him watch and stare as I finish the f*****g task he gave to me. Thanks for his never-ending love for Khyzrr Khryss Alejandro.

I started walking my ass off as soon as I get all the files from Mr. Craniard’s office. I immediately put the files beside the photocopying machine so I can ask some of the employees where can I find the bond papers.

“Excuse me?” I disturbed the man from the vending machine, he looked at me and smiled, “What?” He asked.

“Where can I get a pile of bond papers?” I asked him, he smiled before showing the direction. Thank God that it’s on the same floor.

“Thank you.” I said before walking towards the direction he instructed, I even saw Khyzrr while working something on his laptop. He looked so busy so I just continue to walk until I found the room with a, “Material” sign. I opened the door and looked around, it’s dark so I immediately looked for the switch, and when I found it. I quickly turned it on. I found many bond papers so I took many too since I have plenty of copies to produce.
