A message from Me to You

Chapter 3

"Hehe Sorry about that"

"No problem miss", he said, picking up the wire and starting walking near the cashier. I should get this book paid for before going home.

Now I'm in front of our doorstep going inside when I notice a paper envelope on the floor. Maybe it's for mom, but I wonder why the postman just left the letter on the ground when he can just put it in the mailbox. I shrugged." Mom" I called the moment I opened the door. "I'm home". I should go see mom before heading inside my room. I still need to study and read some novels, since there's nothing else I can do. Well, except waiting for the announcement if who passed the exams.

"Dear, welcome home". I saw my mom watering the garden at the back. I gave her a quick kiss on the cheeks "Are you expecting any mail, mom?"

"Oh no" she replied, then I remembered that maybe it's from the unknown person. "Okay mom" I said and ran into my room. I closed the door and then sat on my bed. Looking at the envelope, and then I saw it again. The look of how those past messages and this one being the same.

"It's just so hard to ignore you,

Just so hard not to look at you,

I don't know what it is about you,

That makes me feel like I do

No matter what they say,

I can't think of you that way....."

I turned the pages and there's still a continuation. I read

"But it's hard to say Hey'

Or just smile and simply wave,

I don't know why I feel this way,

And when you smiled today,

Oh, how it takes my breath away...."

"See you soon"

- A message from me to you

I don't know what I should feel, this is a bit cringe and corny but what's with the 'see you soon?' Does that mean the person will show up? to me?

"Heh," Maybe this person is a stalker? How did he or she know when I smiled? "Creepy"

I sigh. I stand and put the letter on my wooden box, where I also put the past letter that I received. I keep on wondering who this person is, but I don't really have a clue who. It must be a stalker. I don't know.

Today is the day! I'm now facing my laptop waiting for an email if I passed it or not. It's been a week since the day I received the letter. After that, I haven't received one yet. I think its a good thing. I need to focus on my studies this upcoming semester and I don't need anything that might distract me.

I'm scrolling on my email, and then view the website if they will post the list of the students who will pss. This is my last chance! So I really need it.

*Ting*

I refreshed my email and then I saw an email from the university "There it is!" I exclaimed, I'm sooo nervouse and fidgiting whether I passed it or not, I'm kinda worried. "This are the list of the people who passed the exams..." I read

"L.. L...L.. Le... Le.. Lebey....," not me, I scrolled "Levine Agatha.. " my name "Yessssss!!!" I exclaimed happily "OMG, OMG, OMG!" this is the best day ever! "finally" I ran downstair and look for mom and there she is sitting on the sofa watching a movie "Mom!" I called her attention, looking at me confused and then smiled "what happened? You're in a good mood" she smiled at me

"Mom, you won't believe it" a little bit of suspense, I'm so excited "I passed!" I squealed and hug her.

"Oh dear, really" I nodded "I'm so happy for you!" she congratulated me."iI know you can do it" mom hugged me tight and then slowly let go

"We need to celebrate" mom said, which is, I don't think its needed. Mom is really a very supporting mother that whenever there's an achievement we got, she always do a celebration party. A family party to be exact. Mom always do that to both me and my big brother Erik. That's why we love our mom so much.

"Your brother will have a dinner here tonight" mom said, speaking of big brother. I haven't seen him since the last time which was like 1 week ago. My brother doesn't usually stay here, he was just visiting me and mom that day since it was his day off. Maybe my father also ask him to know how mom is doing, which is I'm not sure. "That's great mom" I smiled happily.

"One more thing dear" mom looks at me while smiling and there's a hint of something that sh's holding back. She also looks a bit worried too.

"hmm?" I asked, waiting for her reply.

"Your father will be here tonight for dinner." Oh no, that left me dumbfounded. If dad would be here.. then that means there's a possibility that he will know. What I said beforeis that dad, doesn't really care for me, but if he finds out about me attending university. won't make him feel any good. For some reason, one of the co-owner of the university are isn't in a good term with my dad and his company. Which means, they both hate each other. "Okay" I couldn't face my mom, I feel sad and worried at the same time, but I can't show this kind of look with mom knowing that she's realy excited about seeing dad finally after a long time. "Don't be sad, I'm sure dad will understand sweetie" I just nodded and start heading to my room

"Sis!" I heard my big brother yelling outside my room and also knocking on the door "It's dinner time!" I pick up my phone beside me and look at its time "6;59 pm" I mumbled, "coming." I guess I fell asleep after overthinking about my situation, sometimes I think that this isn't really supposed to be a bad thing. It's just me attending to my dream university then why is it supposed to be a big thing?

I fix myself and wear a blue off-shoulder dress, I messy bunned my hair, fix my eyeglasses, wore a white leather shoes, and I'm out. This is just a dinner, a normal family dinner, but I still, I mean we need to look good whenever there's dad around. Mom canceled the celebration party for me being accepted by the University, but instead mom decided that we should have a family dinner here in our house.
