I’d been to Kate’s place loads of times, but I had never had a whole conversation with either of her parents. Her dad was rarely home, and her mom was so busy being polite and proper that she never bothered to actually talk to me.
I suppose her ‘perfect wife and mother’ façade worked on me when I first met her because I definitely thought that Kate’s parents were good to her. Now, the only thing keeping me from telling Alpha Armstrong what they’ve done to Kate is her wishes. What they’ve done to her is inexcusable, and I’d work to make sure that when I was Beta, I’d find a way to punish them that Kate went through.
