Kate picks me up for school and we animatedly discuss the reactions of our peers when we walk in together, marked and holding hands. I’m torn on whether the werewolves or humans will be more openly surprised when we walk in. Kate is sure the werewolves will be more surprised because it’s not known for anyone to take as long to mate as we did, plus her parents are known to be homophobic. She might be right, but I counter that the humans will probably have a louder reaction since they don’t realize we have better hearing than them.
