The commotion Connor caused repeatedly crashing into the gate seems to have woken my friends. That was an added bonus I didn’t think about, but I’m not complaining.
Nate was the first to wake up. “Lucy! Lucy! Are you here?” Because Nate’s wolf was being repressed by the wolfsbane, he probably wasn’t able to smell her through the mate bond. He must be hoping she’s here since they’ve both been captured by the same people, though.
