“You have to get in here.” Evelyn mind-linked me with worry laced in her tone.
“Why? Is she there?”
“No. And it looks like she’s been taken.” My heart sank. Did she say that Lucy is missing? Please say that I misunderstood her.
My wolf Liam screamed and I ran as fast as my legs could take me. When I got there and saw the state of the place, I had to fight to stop Liam from forcing us to shift into wolf form. Now wasn’t the time to be getting angry and running around in the forest. We had work to do.
I had been to Lucy's place before, and have never seen it like this. She always kept her little home in tip top shape; she took pride in it. She even usually had fresh flowers around to keep it smelling sweet and looking homey.
The place was trashed. Clearly, the people that
