It turns out that my mate only lived a half hour away from home the whole time. She’s 20 years old, so only two years younger than me. The reason I was never able to meet her was because my duties simply kept me too busy. I was doing both full time school and full time Alpha training, which barely left me any time to sleep, let alone exploring human settlements. I had a strong suspicion that I never would have met my mate if Evelyn hadn’t taken over my responsibilities. I suppose I should thank her for that.
